Thank you
Thank you for your work/photos! I don't remember my grandfather, he moved to New Mexico (and passed) when I was a very young child. (I have always lived in CT). I feel very blessed that I was able to see his grave marker today because of the picture you added to this site.

RE: Calkins
I would be happy to receive Clara Calkins, thank you.

There was another branch of the Calkins family who also lived in NM. Most were in Chavez or Bernalillo counties, which is not to say some wouldn't have "strayed" into other territory.
L C is likely related, but unknown right now exactly how.

Celia Calkins Means was a sister to Frank Calkins, and Clara's aunt.

The only reference I have to a burial spot for any of the Calkins' of Frank's and Hattie's family is "Clovis Cemetery." Not even the obituary for Hattie who died in 1950 provides the cemetery. So, if there are two, which one is unknown. Frank died in 1938.

It was strange to me that they are not in the same cemetery with their daughter Clara. If there are mortuary records for Clovis, perhaps they would have more insight? I thought at one time there was an index online, but so much of the website for Curry has changed, and I do not see one there. For now, I have them listed in Mission as it is the oldest. If I can locate more accurate material, I will change accordingly. Many thanks for your time and insight.

RE: Calkins
I rechecked my files and determined that it is the Clovis Cemetery where Frank and Hattie are buried, parents of Clara May Calkins. I have all the obituaries for them, but only Frank's actually gave the cemetery name as "Clovis Cemetery." The death record for Ralph also shows he is buried in Clovis NM, but no name of cemetery. Presume Clovis has only one. Thus I have changed all to be in Clovis Cemetery, with exception of Clara which I have deleted. I appreciate the input. If you would like to complete the info for Clara and tie her to her parents, it would allow all to know to whom she belonged. Thanks.

RE: Calkins
My apologies. I certainly didn't wish to cause undue angst regarding the entry of Clara Calkins.
While she is on my family tree, and you will note I have the exact dates of birth and death, as well as connections to her parents and siblings, I have removed the item from findagrave. Thank you for noting my duplication and your conscientious objection regarding the matter.

Could you link R. B. Taylor, memorial number 11426664, with his mother, Nancy Taylor, who died this week. Her memorial number is 94759831.
Also, his cemetery plot is Block 35, Lot 8, Row B.

Thank you

It looks like Fred Beisser 10932956 took down his memorial which is too bad as he had the obituary. If you can contact him again, have him contact me directly and we can coordinate. Thanks. Scotti

Thank you very much for the transfer of this memorial. I will take good care of it and hope for the day when I can make the transfer myself to a direct descendant.

I appreciate all the work you've done to make this possible!

Aurella Bowery
I'm Marsha Brown, Curator/Director of the Pratt County Historical Museum. I take photos for Find-A-Grave. You created a page for Aurella Bowery, stating that she is buried in East Slope Cemetery in Coats, Kansas. That's not correct. East Slope isn't really a cemetery. There are only two graves there, and it's in the middle of a field. The info about the "cemtery" on Find-A-Grave is wrong and somehow needs to be corrected.
Most likely, Aurella Bowery is buried in East Slopes Cemetery in Riverside, Missouri. (Outside of Kansas City.)
