Harris A. Boswell
Hi there,
Were you notified that I encountered a problem trying to locate Harris at Greenwood? I know his obituary says he is there, but the records office is unable to locate him; They checked Harris, Alphonso, and Boswell as the last names as the interred as well as the purchaser. I see you mention a naming issue; Might there be another name I can ask about? You might also request a copy of his death certificate, but that will cost you about $16 from the County.
Let me know if you have any additional information, or if I can do anything else to help find Harris.

I appreciate the heads up about the duplicate listing on Find A Grave. My problem I have no idea on how to get the other listing updated and maintained since this contributor is now "Inactive". I am updating many of the listings for Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery and any time I have a duplicate listing and can contact anyone who has a duplicate listing I am more than glad to delete my listing. I only need to be sure all the listings for my church are being maintained and updated. If you happen to know how to handle contributors who are "Inactive" I would appreciate the information.

RE: James Kyle & Peyton Randolph
I'm sorry to say that I do not know anything more about this. I do seem to recall that I got that information through the family. Let me try to look at my notes further and see if I can come up with from whom I got this information. I do not think that this was a duel but rather that Peyton Randolph became deranged and showed up at the door and shot James Kyle and nobody knew why.

I too am related through the Lesly family as well as the Watt family. Samuel Watt and Janet Lesly were my 5th great-grandparents in that line.

Thank you for the additional input for this memorial. Do you where she was born, or died?
This cemetery has many remarkable stones without much history - difficult to cover

RE: Robinson-Lines Cemetery
I have been researching the Rocky Comfort area for years. I don't know why I had not put these photos up before. I took them in 2002. There is some interest now in getting the Robinson-Lines Cemetery listed on the National Register. I know some of your cousins. Email me off-forum at and we can talk more about it. I know a descendant of Sherrod McCall who has done a lot of research on that family. He was with us when we tackled the wilds of Gadsden Co. to locate this cemetery. I think Sherrod & his first wife, Margaret Lanier may be buried in this cemetery, unmarked. There are at least 20 unmarked graves out there.

Mary Adeline Hatfield Claborne
The Grave you have listed as Mary Adeline Hatfield Claiborne in Rocky Dale Cemetery, Knox County, Tennessee is not correct. The wife of Martin Lynville Claiborne was Mary A Mynatt. The daughter of William A Mynatt and Mary A Young Mynatt. Martin Lynnville Claiborne was the Son of Calvin Morgan Claiborne and Sebie A Mynatt. William A Mynatt and Sebie A Mynatt Claiborne were Brother and Sister, Children of Martin Lynnville Mynatt and Isabella Roberts Mynatt. Mary A Mynatt and Martin Lynnville Claiborne were 1st Cousins. They had 2 children Lula Alice Claiborne and Florence Nette Claiborn. Martin Lynnville Claiborne's siblings are also buried in the Rocky Dale Cemetery, R T (Robert) Claiborne, C M Claiborne ( Calvin Morgan Jr) . There are other siblings as well. This is my direct line and I have the Will of William A Mynatt that has all of the info and dates and names. Will you please make corrections?
Thank you Kathy Brown

Harris Cemetery duplication
Dear spiritsongUSA,

I am new to Find-A-Grave and noticed that the Harris Hill Cemetery (Huntsville, Madison County, AL) has been duplicated. There are 7 entries under "Harris Cemetery" and 6 entries under "Harris Hill Cemetery." 2 of the entries, Col. Efford Bentley and Francis Eppes Harris are found on both.

According to a copy of a cemetery list I have dating to 1975, all eleven entries belong to the same cemetery. Incidentally, this list also mentions a second cemetery "near a spring and a restored servant's quarter" and this note: "Even though there were several burials at this place only one stone survived. It has since been removed from that location and now lies behind the manor home. Family descendents believe Eliza Gay Harris and infant children are buried here in unmarked graves." Perhaps this second cemetery is the source of confusion.

The eleven entries were made by four different people, Allen Bentley, Jason Presley, Clem Akins, and spiritsongUSA. Mr. Presley and spiritsongUSA did not list their email addresses and so I will contact them via public message on Find-A-Grave.

I am writing to request that the four of you get together and consolidate the two online cemeteries into one.
