|James Powers||Mertha Smith Hawkins|
I'm writing in reference to one of the graves you posted a picture of on findagrave.
My name is James Powers. I descend from Mertha Smith Hawkins' husband Roy (or Leroy) Hawkins. After Mertha's death in early 1902, Roy married Addie Williamson from Muncie. Together they are my great grandparents. I'm trying to learn what became of Roy Hawkins: When, where he died, where he is buried. I'd also like to know what happened to Mertha and the child she had with Roy Hawkins in 1897 named Marion.
Because you photographed Mertha Smith Hawkins stone, I thought you might have information about her or you might know if any other family members are buried near her.

There is already a memorial created for Daniel which is in the famous section. You should delete the one you created as it is a duplicate and the site forbids duplicate memorials. I forwarded the info for Daniel's burial when I sent David's info in. Both memorials have now been updated with their burial info.

I have forwarded the info to the administrators so both Daniel and David's memorials can be updated.
Thank You for providing the info!

Yes, If you know the burial location of his cremated remains, Cemetery name, City/Town, County, State, you can give the info to me and I will forward it to the administrators for them to update his status. Please do not create another memorial. It is forbidden to have a duplicate memorial once one has already been created as famous.

You have the name, birth date, death date and I have to assume that the death date is correct, but the stone you are showing is for his brother Alonzo Earnest. Is there a stone for Earl? Thank you.

|Beth Nicoll||Rachel McNeil|
Rachel McNeil is buried at Pleasant Run Cemetery in Rush County. It says her parents were James and Elizabeth McNeil. Would it be possible for you to double-check this some time? I think she may be the daughter of my ancestors Daniel and Elizabeth McNeil who are also buried at Pleasant Run. According to the 1850 census, their daughter Rachel C. McNeil was born about the same time as the Rachel buried at Pleasant Run. I checked for a James McNeil in the 1850 census but couldn't find one.
I was also interested that you are interested in the Amos family, as I am a Rush County Amos descendant also.
Thank you very much.

|L. M. Yerkes||Elizabeth (Medd) Roberts|
I thought it proper to change her married name to Roberts since she is buried with that name. I believe my listing occured in 2008, so the listing of Elizabeth Roberts (2013)should be deleted as a duplicate.

|June Ford||RE: Hedrick family|
I'll bet there is a connection but dont have enough right now. My husband's great-great grandmother Rebecca Hedrick was born abt 1829 Indiana; her father Jacob seems to have married her mother Susannah Hall in Lawrence Co IND in 1825. Census says b KY; death cert says b IND. Pretty sure had bro WM by IND; in 1850 Jacob in Morgan Co MO & Wm in Bates Co, MO where Jacob's dau Louisa was born. Father MAY have been Abraham or Jacob; some of Abraham's family were in Decatur Co IND (next to your people)and coincidentally one of them married a Larrimore which is one of our family names. Allied families inc Ford, Rains, Ernest, Willson. Lots more if anything clicks;but anything before Jacob is speculation on my part.

|Eileen Walters||Nora Peabody Turner|
My husband and I are trying to trace relatives of Nora Peabody Turner. Nora (maiden name was Tonkin) was my husband's aunt. Born in England we know she came to live in the USA in 1915 she subsequently married Kenneth Peabody (date and place unknown) and now know the she later married a Mr Turner. We know her children were Muriel, Joyce and Allen (Peabody) and also know that Muriel married William Moore and had 4 children (Gregory, Jeffrey, Michael and Patrick) We moved to the United States 3 years ago and would like to make connection with this part of the family. The details on the memorial appear to tie in with information we have on the family. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I updated the Smelser memorial pages. I linked John to his mother.
I might be back to you to request a few more Mpages, if you will consider transferring them to me. I can add something to most of them and make the links -- just need to ge my book out and get after it!!!
Thanks, again, for your help.

Hi Linda, he was my wife's ancestor (can't really give you any details right now, Ancestry.com is down for maintenance at the moment).
Anyway, I do most of the genealogy research in our family and just found this website 2 days ago. Kind of cool to be able to request a photo of the headstone.
Do you have any info on your line before John? I'd be happy to send you what I found. Let me know.
