Streeter/Woodward Family
I am descended from Alfred Streeter and Melinda Woodward and have been working on my family genealogy for some time. I have found census data for both being born in New York. I would like to know if you have a primary source for your reference to Jefferson County, NY as noted on Find A Grave. I have seen other trees on Ancestry identifying Watertown, NY as the birthplace for Alfred Streeter, but I haven't been able to validate that. I would be glad to share what info I have if you are willing to collaborate.

Thank you for your consideration,
Janet Taylor

William R. Benson # 128483460
I was notified by F.A.G. that you had suggestions for William R. Benson. If you have any connection to him I would be glad to transfer him to you.
I do not. He just happened to be one of over 1200 photos of markers that I took in that particular garden at Victoria Memorial Gardens last summer.

Hello: I have since added obituaries for John Helmer, his wife Cynthia and his brother William Helmer.
Maybe something on the obits can be helpful to you.

Interesting. Based on DNA testing, there is now a theory that the lactose intolerant group of people in the Bavarian mountains are likely Jewish, but converted to Christianity because of persecution. Perhaps the lost tribe of Israel has been found!! Then we protestant Bavarians came to America to escape the religious persecution of the Catholic Church on Mennonites/Amish. I always wondered why I love olives, lamb, and flat breads and do not like pork.

Could you transfer these memorials to me please: 44150285 and 44150227. These are my great-grandparents and I would like to link them to their children. Thanks very much.

Just by coicidence helping out an elderly lady who does not use a computer find her family members and revolutionary war vets, your Culver family member traces back to John Culver I of Groton CT, who by family Bible record only, was married to Mary Winthrop, a high society lady, daughter of the first governor of CT, John Winthrop Jr, son of one of the first governors of MA, John Winthrop Sr who was born at Groton Manor in England, rich and famous family. (Side note: I lived on the old Winthrop farm while working in CT for one year). John Culver I and his son John Culver II were leaders in the Rogerine sect, kind of hippies of their day by Puritan standards, always in trouble with the law, and Mary was disowned by the family because of her marrying into the rowdy Rogerines (Rogerenes). Things got so hot for the Rogerines, John Culver II took his family to (at the time) remote Morris County NJ and Schooley Mountain / Black River area.

Achsah Coats
Hi Nan,
I want you to know that I have added & linked Achsah Coats & her parents & husband. If there is anything else that you would like for me to do, Please do not hesitate to ask.

Also, I was at Roseboom several times in the past 2 years, & this past fall did take photos of all stones. I just need to work with them a bit.
I am not sure which photos came out. I have to have everything OKed by Town Historian Pat Mabie & also Dorman Webb, who is the President of Roseboom Cemetery Association. Relatives, are a different, I believe.

Please let me hear from you again. I hope to find more information out on them.
Also, Thank You for the compliment, it is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, Laurie

Nan, thank you so much for the work you do.
I'm planning a trip out there in the spring to see this cemetery in person and your efforts have proven that I'll be in the right place.
