A B Oden tombstone photo
Thank you so much for going to the trouble to take this photograph! That is a beautiful tombstone. Your work is a blessing to those of us who are not close enough to be able to visit the cemetery ourselves. A. B. Oden is the ancestor of a friend of mine. I am helping her tie her family together. She will be delighted. Jane C. Debenport

Martha Ann (Boon) Duke 13751211
Dari, duh, I forgot you were the one so gracious to take the pictures! Did you happen to take any other pics while there? I "stretched" the pics of Martha's grave and standing up, outside the fence is a marker with J _ D . A bar of the fence goes right where the middle initial is! I'm curious as she had a son Jesse Benjamin Duke who I do not know where he is buried. He was mentally ill and died at a state hospital. I'm wondering if that might be his grave.

Also, my great grandparents had two children who died young. Their last name was RicKard. I don't know where these children are buried but they were living in the same area as Martha at the time the children died. I see some markers inside the fence with Martha's grave and just wondering if the children are buried there.

Again, just wondering if you took any other pics while there. I'm also curious about the piles of rock in the background. Are those grave markers?

I see you had left flowers a couple of times for Martha who was my great, great grandmother. I wondered if you have a connection to her?

RE: Bertha Sims
Thank you so much for looking. There are 2 memorials for 2 different Bertha Sims' in that cemetery. I guess neither have a marker. The Bertha Obera Sims that was born in 1911 was Cecil's sister and I thought she might be buried close to him. She married a Tucker, but divorced and it was unclear whether her stone might say Bertha Obera Sims or Bertha Obera Tucker. (Did you happen to find Bertha/Obera Tucker?)
Thanks again for all your time!

RE: Martha Duke
Thank you so much, Dari! I am not it was a "journey" to find the burial; it seems everything associated with finding her has been a "journey". LOL. I do appreciate the effort. May I ask the name of the two sisters? Just curious if there is any connection to them. Did they know much about those burials in the cemetery? Do they feel there might be other burials there?
