Matthews Family in Leverett, MA
Susan ~ Do you happen to know if "Silas Matthews" (married to Presilla or Priscilla Woods) is buried in Long Plain Cemetery in Leverett? Are there other cemeteries in Leverett MA that I can check? Thanks! Peggy Matthews-Nilsen

Susannah Newton 78720423
I respectfully ask you to review Susannah's profile - example - her children are her siblings, etc - there is so much confusion.
I suspect others have added incorrect information, but as a direct descendant, of Daniel Newton, I hope the confusion can be corrected
thanks, jude85364

Thank you for your photo of Benjamin Terry! I found it, uncredited, on ancestry, and have commented on the photos. I would like permission to use it on my tree, with a credit to Sueglo of Findagrave, if that would be alright.

William Ward
Hi, on your memorial for William Ward. The birth date/place indicates this would be the son of John Ward and Hannah Jackson. But, he may be the William recorded as dying 1742, Newton.
The death date/location indicates this "could" be the son of William Ward and Hannah Bridgham.
Do you know which William Ward this is?
William's (1) son is buried in Worcester county.
Different family tug-a-war going on here. Who's William is it??
Thank you,
Nancy

Lisacul Rosie
Boyce/Ray family in Westmeath

Hi,

Not wishing to state the obvious but Westmeath and Roscommon are separate Counties and Multyfarnham, Westmeath is a considerable distance from Kiltoom, Roscommon.
It is not uncommon for cemeteries to share a common name and be situated in any number of counties in Ireland. Names are generally derived from the topogaphy and there is not an unlimited ways of describing grass, shrubs, trees and the like.

I am in no way familiar with Westmeath but looking at the Griffiths Valuation Map of the mid 1850's there was a church in Kiltoom which no doubt would have had a local graveyard if not attatched to the church. It would appear to be around the GPS coordinates of 53.665570 -7.350068.

Hope this is of some help.

Boyce - Kiltoom Cemetery
Hi,

I have come across your memorials 113891686 and
113891599 at the above cemetery. The creator of the cemetery page has omitted some crucial information in that the locality is for the Kiltoom New Graveyard (Cornaseer Townland)which only opened for burials in 1933 some time after your Boyce deaths.

There is another Kiltoom Old Graveyard at a different location and the last burial here was in 1975. If your sure they were buried in Kiltoom let me know and I'll create a cemetery page for the two memorials you have created.

RE: How do you add a picture to the main page of Oak Grove?
Hi Susan-
I put that picture of Oak Grove on Find A Grave so many years ago that I can't remember how I did it! Looking at the page for Oak Grove now, I can't see any way to add a photo, I'm stumped how you'd do it. I suggest you send a message to Find A Grave and ask. Sorry I can't help.

I live within walking distance of Oak Grove; I love that cemetery because of all the trees and often walk there.

RE: Question on John B Russell
You can find the chalk at the craft store -- it just washes off in the rain. Another good tool is a plastic ice scraper - it will take off the mold but not hurt the stone. Beckie

Susan,
I don't have any family in MA. I'm not sure how long I will have in Find A Grave, Mark Wing is deleting all of my input because he wants my memorials. Hopefully I will be able to stick around for a while. Beckie

RE: Question on John B Russell
Hello Susan,
I was over at Oak grove today and have the genealogy of the family. I had to use chalk to get the names and dates to pop out. The stone is getting weathered. Beckie

David Fay memorial
THANK YOU for posting this memorial.....Will you please connect him to his parents memorials

John Fay the immigrant Memorial # 72021926 in the Old Common Burial Ground in Marlborough, MA and his mother (2nd wife of John and also her 2nd of 3 husbands)

Susanna (Shattuck) 1- Morse, 2- Fay, 3- Brigham....She had 10 children in her first marriage and so the person that created her memorial used the surname of Morse.....but acknowledged all 3 marriages in her bio. He memorial number is 16783108. That way the lineage goes all the way back in the links of family generations.

THANK YOU for your consideration. Carrie Bias Hoffert

Ebenezer Newton Jr # 78720424
I added a memorial and photograph for Ebenezer Newton (#73624377) in the Old Burial Ground, Southborough, MA. Can you please link his memorial to the one you created for his son, Ebenezer, Jr (# 78720424)? I also found a birthdate of 09/16/1724 for Ebenezer Jr. (Southborough vital records). Thank you!

Leverett cemeteries
Have uploaded a spreadsheet of 200+/- memorials from transcription done some decades ago for Mount Hope Cemetery, Chestnut Hill Rd, Leverett. the link is:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=91253

am finding I've duplicated some memorials you have posted to Leverett Center Cemetery, Montague Road, Leverett.
the link is:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GSln=Graves&GSiman=1&GScty=58848&GRid=74988385&CRid=2283776&

based on street addresses and pics of cemeteries these appear to be 2 different locations but I don't know...

so far duplicates are on Charles W Graves, Howard M Graves, and Julia P Graves. I am Not suggesting your memorials are in wrong cemeteries...it's possible transciption is in error or these locations are one in the same.
I have a local contact and have sent him an email hoping for clarification - Can you shed any light on this?
thanks so much for your assistance, and your contributions to Find A Grave. You can reply via my contributor page.
