Have you ever applyed for A CSA Market for Elbert. I dont really know the process of getting one. You might check with the VA (Veterans Admin). Are an Historical Club. It doent cost anything the Gov. will cover the cost of it. It would be nice to see another CSA head stone in Leonard Cemetery. Jackie

I am attempting to get all the James and Argyle Blackstone's sorted out and with their respective parents. I am having trouble with this particular James. Do you happen to have any info on his parents?

He is an "extra" james after going through all of the census. Although I could still be confused! LOL I have at last count 8 Argyles. It's been a bit daunting.

William McLaws Little or Little related
If you have any other pictures of William McLaws Little or anything else on the Little family, let me know. I'm a descendant of William McLaws Little on my father's side (through his late mother's side).

Hi Deborah,

I have family buried in the Fort Gordon (Homestead) Cemeteries. I think I've probably just begun to scratch the surface, but so far I have found family in Cemetery #10, #14, and #16. Thank you for adding these to Find A Grave! :)

RE: Pictures
Hi Deborah, I just read your message and I would love to have a copy of the picture found. It is probably my Mom Cherrill Cawley and her sister Virginia Cawley. My address is 432 sw 121st Place Portland, Oregon. If you could send a copy that would be wonderful. It has been 3 years since Mom passed and I miss her so much. Thank you, in advance, Denise

Her grave site relocated to Bellevue Cemetery, Columbia County, Georgia. Would consider letting me maintain this memorial so that I might merge all the information into one memorial.

Hi Deborah,
Someone else accidentally made duplicates in 2011. I am sending you a link to politely request their pages as they are my great grandparents but I just wanted to mention it here as they no longer send out emails about corrections. (Now it is under our profile/home page edit tab-just learned about it.)
I did the automatic request to correct their full names and birth and death dates so it may update that.
Thanks a lot for your time,

Cicero Crittendon Standridge
Hi Deborah,

My mom is here visiting and we stumbled upon Find a Grave quite by accident. We are so grateful to find the tombstone and a photo of the man who has to be her great-grandfather or possibly an uncle. That name was passed down to one of her uncles, there can't be two families that randomly came up with it. (I really thought my mom made it up because the ones we know shortened it to CC.)

I'm wondering where the photo came from. We're trying to locate more relatives that were from Murphy, NC but this is as far back as we go. We searched in GA but there's no Standridges listed. Could it be that no one from GA has added them? Don't quite understand how the site works.

Thank you so much for your efforts. You can't imagine how much fun this has been for my mother and I.

Best always,

Teresa Lane

Thomas Huffman
Joseph Cliatt Whitaker

Joseph Whitaker was an older brother of my gg-grandfather, Samuel Whitaker. I know that his middle initial was "C" but have never seen anything to suggest that his middle name was Cliatt. I have the Bible that was presented to him by the Linwood Methodist Sunday School and in it, he wrote the birth and death records of his wife and children. Unfortunately, he did not list his middle name. May I ask your source for his middle name as Cliatt? Interestingly, Joseph's wife, Vallie Palmer, was an older sister of my gg-grandmother, Tallulah Palmer Anderson.

Kind Regards,
Thomas Huffman
