There is some dispute over the dates - and his name - depending upon the source. Since I wrote you I have found out a lot more about the man. I appreciate the transfer, and hope to write a good bio - as he and his story ought to be better known, musically and with regard to the Confederate cause that he believed in, in addition to a good family memorial. Thanks!

I want to thank you for posting what you knew on this site. Many times I have read notes of a member criticizing someone for posting a memorial when they did not know the place of burial.
First and foremost the main idea of this site is to honor the dead.
Second might be to help others in any way you can. When someone forwards information for you to add to your memorial they are trying to help.
I have been researching for over 50 years now and have learned that the slightest crumb might open the flood gates to a wall you have been trying to climb.
I am very grateful to members who are kind enough to share any information they might have.
Your information led me to a wall that was completely blocked, and although you do not know the place of burial I was now aware of where I might search for further information. THANK YOU!
I would like to thank all the volunteers who post photos, both tombstone and family as it brings us closer to our past.

Hi. I am researching family history and my nephews are descended from Julia L. Stern. Do you happen to have any additional information on her (e.g., maiden name, names of her parents)? Thank you for any information you can share.
