Gladys Thank you so much for posting your little notes and flowers to all the Tovrea memorials. It has helped me straighten out the "red flag" in my database having two "Addie" Stacys one Lodema Adeline mother to Charles "Frank" Smiley and the other, Sarah Adeline, mother to his wife Nellie May Tovrea.

I will let you know Gladys, as soon as I find out for sure. Since my cousins are in the Amarillo area and I have been trying to secure these photos for a while, I am not holding my breath. :-)
However, Ras and Virginia Pool have a lot of family photos and I hope to be seeing them soon in east Texas.
Thanks Again & Take Care

Gladys, did you add a photo to Robert Thompson's memorial? There was a photo there that was from my database, but I was never sure if that was him. Otherwise, I cannot fathom, why you would get a notice regarding him.

I am sorry Gladys as the message was for John Stephens. Not sure how you would have gotten it! I apologize.

Thank you, Gladys, for linking Christopher Koonce to his wife. He is my 5th great grandfather also. I found a terrific amount of information on ancestry.com. If you have anything that they don't, I'd love to know.
Thanks again, distant cuz,

|LeAnn Burchfield||Barton Tovrea|
I think your memorial on Bartley C Tovrea is a repeat of mine of Barton C Tovrea 96476986, except that your relative's death date is listed as 1915 instead of 1955. Would you like to check your resources and make sure that they are correct? If they are correct, I will leave my memorial, because they may be different people. If they are the same people, I will delete mine and add the grave pic to yours.

Thank you so very much for that information! I'll sure use it to locate the place. If/when I find it, would you like pictures of any of the graves if I can get them?

Can you possibly give me an idea of where this cemetery is located? I can't find it on any maps. If you could give me directions or even tell me what street/road it is on I can probably find it with Google Earth, but I'm having tons of trouble finding it otherwise. Thanks so much.

|Elizabeth Benedict||What a coincidence..|
I'm having some trouble piecing my family tree together on my paternal grandmother's side. The family name was Hartry/Hartery, from Newfoundland.. My grandmother's aunt was Maud/Maude Alice (Hartry) Doody. I was trying to track down Doody family members to help piece the puzzle together. In searching for Doodys on find a grave, I found one buried in the same cemetery as my grandmother, and she was from Newfoundland too.. Mary Doody. How crazy is that? I gotta think maybe there's a connection, but none of the names in her bio ring a bell...

I noticed that you created the findagrave records for the Barkers & Blackburns. Below is the obit for Doc Blackburn which gives the maiden name for Emma Blackburn. I am related to the Barkers.
Note: Since Emma is listed in the 1920 & 1930 Census records, she apparently did not die in 1918 as stated in the obit. Perhaps the "Following her death" should have been attached to the move to "Snyder in 1936" instead of the move "to Oklahoma in 1918."
30 Dec 1960, Lawton Constitution, Lawton, OK
Snyder – Services for Doc Blackburn, 76, were held Tuesday in the Church of Christ with E. E. Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn cemetery, with Preston-Leckie funeral home in charge.
Mr. Blackburn died Friday in a Lawton hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1884, in Texas, and married Emma Lewis in Mammoth Springs, Ark. Following her death, he moved to Oklahoma in 1918 and to Snyder in 1936. He married Mrs. Birdie Settles in 1943. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife: a son, Ollin of Snyder; two daughters: Mrs. Opal Barker, Nucla, Colo., and Mrs. Jewel Davis, Ringling; two stepchildren, George Settles, Frankfurt, Germany, and Mrs. Margaret Pruett, Corpus Christi, Tex., six sisters, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

I made the transfer just now. Their headstone pic requests have been claimed. The cemetery office had trouble finding their burial cards, they had been missfiled. The lady who claimed them, will go back next week to get their pics. :)
