I am researching the ancestry of Susan Britton Low
(or Brittain, or Brittin or Lowe) Could you tell me if John and Mary had a daughter Susan who married Isaac Low(e) in 1834? They had several children that I am aware of. It is possible their first child was my second great-grandfather, William Mosley Low however, he had two older brothers of record but I feel they were too old to be Susan's biological children. Do you have any further information on this family either before or after John including, of course, Susan? I know this is a very general inquiry but you never know what you will come up with just by asking. Any documented proof would also be greatly appreciated (or at least a lead on how to find such documentation)

I have almost deciphered the article posted on this page. With some research I have found some of his family members.

I was not the one who posted the article. You may be able to locate a copy at a library near you. There is one on the University of Texas. With the date and the name of the newspaper, it should be rather easy to locate.

I added some more censuses to his page.

|Janelle Via-McKown||Dalpha E. Tabor|
Dalpha was male, not female and was my Mother's brother. He is not buried in Granger City Cemetery. He died in California (I first found his death certificate through his SS#). He was cremated. His remains, I assume, continue to be in California. I think no one picked them up.
In addition to Dalpha Elijah Tabor (Jack), John Webster Tabor had two other children: Beatrice Elizabeth (Tabor) Via (my mother)and Crawford James Tabor, buried there with his Father and Mother.
My Mother, sister and I purchased the tombstones and had them erected for my grandmother, Cora (Smith) Tabor and Crawford James Tabor. We were the only close family members in the central Texas area.

Are you related to Dalpha Tabor. Her cremeated remains are still at the cemetery and she has not been buried there.
Maybe we could find a close by family member to pick them up.

I made the additions to Ruth McDonough memorial. I did find her fahter Adolph Stein is buried in the same section. I will look for him and his wife the next time I go ( I go several times a week). I made a memeorial for him today..
I have books that have graves from 1942-1952 and another book lists from 1952-1962, So I have no info for Katherine Ruth Davis Stein. I will probably see it when I go and will add her also. I did link Ruth to her father .

Thanks for the note, Joy. My gr-grandmother was a Tabor and Edna was her niece. I need to work more on that family line. I try to make it down to that area once a year to go through the cemeteries and libraries. Appreciate your offer-will probably take you up on it! Barb

|bobandlib||RE: Jane Brittan|
It's peculiar to me that Mr. wasn't buried in the same cemetery as Mrs. - the 2 cemeteries are just a few miles apart. I read on Ancestry that he died in Coweta County (but I saw no proof source) - they would almost have had to pass by her cemetery to get to Whatley where he is buried. And some of their children are also buried in Whatley Cem -by the way, it is supposedly haunted :-) Maybe he's looking for her! I look forward to seeing the history you add to the memorial. Isn't this fun?? I've been working on my family history for 33 years, and the puzzle just keeps growing - never completed! Happy hunting!

Joy, I am happy to transfer Jane's memorial to you. This is exactly why I bother with "hunting dead folks" anyway - to memorialize and enhance their history. Such a shame to know there are so many people who had a story to tell, but it's lost to the generations without help from a few of us. I don't know if you have any information on the other people in this cemetery. If so, I would be happy to transfer them to you, too. There are quite a few other graves there, but beyond identifying now, and soon will be completely obscure. When you sent the note, I realized I had never added the pictures onto the memorials, so I just completed that. I hope you find everyone you're looking for. By the way, whatever happened to Jane's husband??? I look forward to reading about your g-g-g-grandmother!

Joy: I have received ALL your messages and just have not had time to look at all the info and give you correct answers. I appreciate the corrections etc. I hold multiple jobs and it is a busy time for me. When things calm down I will get with you. Would love to share info. Again I apologize for the delays, but when I get in from work I am barely getting to look at my computer before I go to bed to start all over again.
