RE: Thank you!
I'll do my best! I've photographed a lot of Slaton stones over the years and never saw it spelled SlatEn. But there could very well be.

RE: Thank you!
You are more than welcome, happy to help. I'll look for Rev. Slaten(Slaton?) next time I'm over that way. I didn't have the list with me that showed no grave stones so I wasn't particularly looking for him or her. Most always I photograph all family members that are buried together, so maybe his is unmarked. I'll check and let you know.

Elisa Walker
Do you know if Elisa's mother Lucindia Gillett died as a result of his birth?
I have been informed she died on the same day he was born. 2 Jul 1846 in Alligator City, FL
Laura Octavia Walker Buser was my grandmother and I am still trying to find her mother, Caroline Wilkinson.

I believe the date of death on Find A Grave is incorrect. I believe he died July 8, 1999, not August 8.

Marc Haynes
RE: Westbrook Family
Leigh, thank you for your reply.

I'm the grandson of Robert Johnson Westbrook, George's younger brother. George encouraged Robert to become a fellow physician, and I posted the death certificate signed by Robert to George's Findagrave entry. We called Robert Daddy Doc, and George Uncle Doc, even though George died before my mother was born.

My mother was Sarah George Westbrook Haynes, Doctor Bob's youngest child. Her best friend was her first cousin Obie Sue Williams, in case you're related.

I'll think about administrative and other changes, but please correct the mother of Mildred Roberta ("Robbye") Westbrook (18496052) to Desdemona ("Dedie") Westbrook (184941445). I'm also trying to locate a grave entry for another of RJ and Dedie's sons, Lloyd. I'm in contact with his son.
Thanks again. It was a pleasure hearing from you.

James Green Pittman
Hello Leigh,

James Green Pittman is my 4th great grandfather. Martin Hughes Pittman is my 3rd great grandfather.

I too like to find the family cemeteries and visit them, it fascinates me.

Martin Pittman's son, Jeptha Mitchell Pittman is buried in Roanoke, Ala. I have obtained a map but haven't seen it yet. I understand it is grown over and one would have to hack their way in. I think I'm up for the challenge, when time permits.

Have a blessed day.

James Green Pittman
Hi Leigh,
I am a direct descendent of James Green Pittman's brother John Ichabod and wife Lucy Eunice Marshall my 4X Great Grandparents. As my Family's Genealogist and Historian, I write a blog, Tracks of My Texas Ancestors, and this month I would like to write a feature on James Green Pittman, your 4X Great Grandfather and my Uncle.

I would like permission to use the Grave Marker Photos on his Memorial #16748377. I will Link his FAGrave Memorial and give you credit for the photos. I would also like to mention you as one of his descendents.

You can view my blog through the Link on my Find A Grave Contributor Profile. Thank-you for your consideration of this request.

Sharon F. Corey
Prince Fredericks Cemetery in Georgetown County
Hello Leigh -

Just a quick note to let you know that your recent memorial submissions for Prince Fredericks Cemetery on Plantersville Road in Georgetown County
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2192374
have already been submitted in the correct cemetery which is the Black River Church Cemetery on Browns Ferry Road in Georgetown County
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GScid=2388013&CRid=2388013&pt=Black%20River%20Church%20cemetery& .

I understand how easy it would be for someone that does not actually live in Georgetown County to be confused about these, as well as many other, cemeteries in Georgetown County. It is even confusing for those of us that do live in Georgetown County.

If you need more reference on these two cemeteries please refer to the Georgetown County Museum Cemetery webpage for Old Gunn Church Cemetery (Prince Fredericks)
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~scgeorge/cem_old_gunn.html
and Old Prince Frederick Episcopal (Winea Plantation) Cemetery
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~scgeorge/cem_oldprfred.html .

Please remove your recent submissions to Prince Fredericks Cemetery
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GScid=2192374
as soon as possible so other researchers will not get confused as well.

Thank you!

Enjoy!!

RE: Skinners at Evergreen Cem.
Hi Leigh,

I should be able to make it out tomorrow or over the weekend. A few weeks ago, I had grabbed a few other photos in section GW so I know exactly where it is and it's very easy to walk. I'll get all the Skinners I see there, and then head over to Section S to try to find William.

I'll let you know what I find as soon as I can!

Have a great day!
Keely
