Is your husband related to Coy S. Bennett, former principal of Gibsland High School?

S. Woods
Mays family
I am related to the Mays family through my great, great grandmother Lucy Elizabeth Mays who married Raiford/Rayford Riley Rhodes. I am also related to the Garner family through my great grandmother, Cynthia Alice Garner who married Francis Barto Rhodes. Archellaus G. Mays and Lucy Elizabeth Mays were siblings. We think that Lucy Elizabeth Mays Rhodes is buried in an unmarked grave somewhere in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Hopefully we will eventually located it so a grave marker can be place on it.

I was just getting ready to let you know her memorial was updated. It took me a little longer because I always try and verify the information I receive via sac and I got distracted with finding a little 3 year olds information. Normally I really try hard to do the SAC as soon as I get to them, or at least within a few hours. I don't like letting them pile up. If there is anything else you would like me to add please let me know.

It's been along time since I've been to this site. My daughter and I used to post a lot and try to help in our area. However, if you'd like this posting transferred to you, I will be glad to do it--or the site managers can do it for us. God bless!

RE: Dobbins
Yes, Lucille was my aunt, was my dads sister. She was Lucille Shaver. You said they are buried in Arlington, where is that? I think they were living in Ark when he died. She remarried to a Will Ross Henry from Marsalias, La. I probably did not spell that right

Any kin of yours?

The address for the plot is 1 Laurel Magnolia Hawthorne which means between Magnolia and Hawthorne. Go to click on cemetery map. Also put your family name in genealogy and then you can see the burials for that grave. Hope this is helpful

Mahala C. Caskey

I'm writing you as you created Mahala's record in the Weaver Cemetery. Mahala was not the wife of Robert S. Tyler. She was his step-daughter. Mahala was the daughter of Sarah Hammontree by her first husband, Gabriel Alonzo Caskey. Can you correct the entries for she and her step-father, Robert Tyler?

Thank you,

William Houston
Your cousin, a descendant of James Stevenson & Hannah Etta Kilpatrick Stevenson.

Yubbs Cemetery
I have family records that John Sanders who married Elizabeth McLaughlin
Birth 1830 in Perry, Alabama, United States
Death 1912 in Perry, Alabama, United States
is buried at Tubbs Cemetery.

I see that there are McLaughlin's buried here.
Can you shed any light on this?

Oh yeah...
I have a pic of Uncle Giles and Aunt Hanna that I got a couple of years ago, but the file size is very smal, so it doesn't print well, I imagine you must have the same picture, I would like a copy of it at it's highest resolution if that's possible.

RE: Willie Claude Haynie
Aunt Sandra was married to my Uncle Leon Haynie. I knew her well. She is very missed. I posted some pics of Mattie Franklin, and James Tyree Haynie, as well as pics of Betty Dobbins and John Franklin Kilpatrick. You may already have these pics,if you tlked to Aunt Sandra much, but I can send you larger file versions that will print better 5x7 or maybe larger, if you want them. I'm working on getting Uncle Giles a Confederate service marker.

RE: Willie Claude Haynie
Thank you. Willie Claude was my great-uncle. James Tyree and Mattie Franklin Kilpatrick Haynie were my great-grand parents.Since you are a Dobbins, you must be related as well, since Mattie's mother was a Dobbins. Are you a decendant of Giles Weaver Dobbins?
