RE: Messersmith family
It's going to have to be a warm day!! All the stones in that cemetery are flat. North Platte had a lot of snow. I'm going back there for an appt in the middle of January and I'll see what happens then. They have no directory and the only way to see the names is to walk each row.

RE: Oliver Family
It would be my pleasure, Garry. Kind of cold and wet tonight, but I will get up to the cemetery this weekend with a small shovel to dig down around her marker - it really sunk down quite a bit. I will get another photo too. No matter how well equipped my graven' kit is, there is always another tool I need! I hate to look too obnoxious with a big spade in an old cemetery!

RE: Oliver Photos
Hi Garry,
Any way you want to do it is fine with me. Your grandmothers marker seems to be half buried, and I couldn't dig it out with the tools at hand, so that's why you can't see the dates at the bottom.
But, at least, we found your family! I'll visit from time to time for you, and make sure their plot is clean and mowed.
Anything else I can do, let me know. Glad to help!

RE: Alice Oliver gravestone
Hi Garry,
Yes, your grandmother Helen is here in Sisseton, as well as many more members of her family. I sent the pics of their gravesites to your personal email address. If you didn't get them I can re-send.

RE: Dean photos
Hi Gary - I do have the picture that just says 'Grandma'. I sent an email to the caretaker, asking if he had any notes on who Grandma was. I'll get it updated one of these days for you.
Thanks, Vicki

Cameron cemetery
Hi Garry - I was out at Cameron and found a lot of pictures of Dubbs and Dean. I did not find a specific stone for "Mahala Dean" b 1816 d 1903. I did find a "Grandmother" in the Dean family plot. That is the only wording on the stone, no dates.

Do you want me to put this under her name?

I took other pictures of Deans and Dubbs and put them out there as well. I found a more recent stone for William E Dubbs b Jan 29, 1906, d Apr 21, 1984, married Apr 15, 1960 to Alice E Dubbs b Nov 11, 1913 (still living). I didn't find them listed under this cemetery. If they are related, let me know and I can get them out there for you.
Thanks, Vicki

RE: Ham gravestones

You're very welcome. I'm glad that I could fill your request. It looks like Preble Village Cemetery is connected with Elmwood Cemetery somehow. I think that those buried in Village were moved to Elmwood, but I have no real "proof".

Thanks so much for taking the photo for me. It is my Father in Law's brother and he did not know where he was burried for sure. Now I can make sure he gets it. Thanks again!
