Tinsley and extended families
Thank you very much for your hard work and efforts on the Find A Grave site. It is truly the genealogist great friend. I know it is made up of people like you who are willing to go the extra mile. Thanks to you all, people like me who can no longer visit cemeteries, can see their extended families gravesites. I hope you will not mind my copying your photos for my family files on Ancestry and Family Treemaker. I am trying so hard to leave files where my extended family can see their heritage. I am now 87 and time is fast running out for me but hopefully there will be those who follow in my footsteps.
Thank you again.

Capt. William F. Ward
Helen: I am contacting you once again, the first time was back in 2010 and it was for your work on George Penrod, from Mulhenberg, Co. KY.. This time it has to do with your great background work on Capt. William F. Ward, in that information you said that he had six sister, it is one of those sisters that I am searching for information on. She is Nancy Jane Ward 1840-1926, some people have her as Mary Jane and that is not correct. My connection is she was my great grandmother, making William Flan Ward my great Uncle.

If you have anything I would be grateful for it or just point me in a good direction? My e-mail is

McPherson cemetary
My ggggrandfather Amos Ash was married to Sarah Johnston Ash and after he died. His bro-n-law Jesse McPherson married his wife after Jesse's wife died which her name was Nancy Ash Mcpherson.(Amos's sister) Anyway Im trying to find Amos Ash's plot. He was good friends with Jesse. Died in same vacinity. Is there any unmark or unreadable graves in the McPherson cemetary? Or old graveyards in same area. Amos Ash did own land also by Clifty creek. Any help would be great thank you. Becky

The 2 DeArmonds?
I just went back and took new photographs of both cemetery's. I am not sure how to fix this, the owner of the land said the one behind his house was called oddy or otty DeArmond and the one down the road in the woods was called light or lite DeArmond does this make any since? And he also told me of 2 more small DeArmond cemetery's on the same road that i will go find later on.

Ok thanks. That's the same Cemetary that a friend on here discovered. I was just wondering because he has figured out there is another DeArmond Cemetary. The one on fagg Rd he had to clear before he got photos....the other one shows pics of a fence & well kept. U sid the one u got your pics from was well maintained so I thought it was different from the one on Fagg Rd. Thanks for the info & the transfers. :)

Thank u so much for being willing to transfer those to me. Lewis was my Great Grandfathers brother. :) I LOVE this site. :) I hope to visit those graveyards myself one day....I hope they r still there when I do get a chance to....and that I am allowed to go there. This one that u mention where is it located exactly? Is it in Logan county? Or Muhlenberg? And what road? Because it's looking like there r two & maybe even 3. Thanks for any info u have.

Mavis Schmidt
Hi Helen, I am hoping you can help me locate a living person, Mavis Schmidt. I am a Vietnam Veteran and so is Mavis and her Company Commander, Joanne Murphy is the one that really want to hear from Mavis. We have a mailing address for her at 1308 Central Ave, Northwood but the telephone number we had is not a working number now. Do you by any chance know her? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Memorial in New Hebron

While posting photos, I ran across the memorial you posted for Noble Redfearn #50302296.

This marker is hard to read, but after close inspection of the inscription, it reads, "MABLE, Dau. of E. C. and M. L. Redfearn."

Thanks for all of your contributions.
