Thanks for the fast reply. I'm really not sure what the correct answer is. His birthplace in the 1950 US Census was Virginia but who knows? Thought you might have more definitive answer. Like i mentioned, i can't find any record of any Abraham Lyons births in Scotland though.

You have info on memorials for Wm. B. Smith 1811-1878. With second wife Jemima according to census had children: Mary J. 1847, Crawford (?)1849, James R. 1851. I'm trying to find Mary Smith who married Silas Rawley in Posey Co. 1880 and they had a daughter Lora in 1887. So hard finding the right Mary Smith! Do you know anything about William's dau. Mary? Could she be the right one? Thanks for your help.
