I should have thanked you years ago, for what you put on my great-aunts site. It was really beautiful what you put on it.I wish that I could take the time every minute of the day to send something to her. I really miss her for some reason, I really missed her today. So, I took the time to read what others had put on her site, and what you wrote, I am sure that my aunt was grateful for what you put on it. She was more like a grandmother to me than a great-aunt. She was a wonder person.I wish that the person that has her site would have transferred her to me, but she won't. I don't know if that person ever transfers anyone from her site. But, I don't really have to have her site, because my aunt misses me as much as I miss her, and she loves me as much as I love her, and not having her sight makes no differents in those matters. Love isn't owning a site, it is what is in the person that loves her. It is the many happy memories that we shared together. It was the quiet star filled shy and the glide swing that we sat on after the dinner dishes were put away. Someone else may have her site, but I had the real thing, I had her to love and to love me back. And being able to leave little messages on here for her makes me feel alittle better, because I feel as if I am talking right to her. There are very few people in the world like my aunt was. We could sure use a million and then some in this world today. To have had her in my life, I feel so very blessed. So, thank you for the kind words to her. God bless, take care , and keep safe and well.

Donald Duck

Hi Donald Duck,

Is the photo of you Carol? If so, You look just like my sister.

Thanks for sharing this web site. I too belong to Find A Grave but always forget to come here. Last year was looking for my husbands brother that was killed in WWII and no one had ever seen the place where he was buried and Find A Grave found for me. This is an awesome site to come to and hope I don't forget about it. Thanks for refreshing my memory.

You're welcome. Glad I could help.
I just started fulfilling findagrave photo requests to pay back some of the favors that I have received and then just kept going. And it's kind of fun sometimes.

RE: Geno Sonye
I used to be very good friends with his son Michael. And through many years of knowing his son I think his son Michael didn't give him a fair shake so it was my pleasure. Wish I'd had a chance to know the guy. His ex wife passed away four hours after he did on the exact same day.

Re: Your 'Donald's Duck' Handle
I am a almost 70 year old Grand Ma' Ma, and a 3 month member of Find A Grave.
As I was taking a tour thru the many memorials left for Cecil Allen, and saw your 'handle'
"Donald's Duck." I thought I would share the following with you:

The back ground screen on my computer is that of Donald Duck's family tree. Have you seen it ? As I read a lot of comic books as a child, I enjoy seeing it when the computer comes on. Would you like me to send it to you, would be glad to.

RE: Richard Goodman
Yeah, the other lady mentioned there was a drainage issue. That's why the stone was too muddy.
It's a flat shared stone with him left and her right. She had water to wash it with but that only made the mud wet, and as she had nothing to then wipe it off, it didn't help her with the picture. Hah.

I wonder if there's a problem in that part of the cemetery? Do you think we should call and talk to the office to make sure it's being resolved?

Richard Goodman Photo Request

Thanks for trying to take the photo of my Grandfather's grave. You have it marked as no stone, but location marker only. I think this might be a mistake. Another person a few months back tried to fulfill the request for me and in doing so, she found the stone (same location you gave) but it was all muddy and she couldn't get it very cleaned off. She didn't upload the pics because they turned out so bad and left it open for better pics, but she did email them to me. Anyway her pictures show the stone and you can barely make out his and his wife's (Jean) names, it's just really muddied over so it's not very good. If you're close any chance you can check again? She was going to try again, but wasn't sure when she'd get back to that area.

Thanks for trying!

Yeah, small towns are great...I just connected with these cousins (really my husband's family) recently. We actually went to AL last weekend to visit Wilburn's sister, Claire, and some of her children. She used to live in S CA and Tahoe, but now is living with her son in AL. I heard Uncle Wilburn was a great man of God and the church was wonderful. If I ever get to the area, I am going to attend a service and maybe can lookup some of the relatives I have not met in person. Thanks again for the photos. I forgot to look at the extra photos not showing..I appreciate it so much.

The photos of the James headstone and bench are lovely...looks like a beautiful place to be buried...Did you see what was written on the bench? Looks like it is inscribed...maybe with a verse..the family appreciates your efforts...thank you for being a volunteer.
