Hi Jen

Do you mean you're heading to the Olean, NY area? If there's anything I can help you with when you're here or not here, let me know. I'm always happy to help with checking the newspaper microfilms for obits at the Olean Library.

Children's section 18
Hello again...had to show you my photos from my personal connection to Section 18...I was searching for my husband's aunt this spring which was in this children's section...I was pretty upset with the condition of these markers and the whole area...I took photos and sent them back to the office ( didn't want to complain too much as they are always so helpful to me when looking for graves)..well, later this summer when I returned to Section 18, I was SOOOO happy to see that sending my photos must have paid off..100% improvement...the problem is they are only alloted so much money yearly for repairs of these old parts..but this has been one of the highlights along with finding little Marie's grave...Carol

Dougherty
Hi Jennifer. Thanks for posting the photo of my grandparents' grave stone to Josephine Maude (Gray) Dougherty. I added it to my grandfather's page as well. Please, let me know if you'd rather put it on yourself, so it reflects the fact that you were kind enough to take the photo. Thanks again! -- Norie

RE: Sarah E Higgins
I would happily make the change, but I'm new at this and don't know how to delete a photo from someone's memorial . . . even the memorials I created. Can you tell me how?
Thanks
Noramah

RE: jamison
You are very welcome. I truly enjoy doing this. I feel peaceful in these cemeteries and love being able to bring photos to people who may not be able to physically go and see them.

Sophia Gulick
Took a second look today and still could not find her. I found her husband John V. Gulick but did not find a marker for her next to him. I also found Isaac Scudder Gulick (and just uploaded a picture of his memorial to the site) but did not find her in that section either. Based on the posted obituary it sounds like she survived her husband by more than 40 years so that may be why she is not buried next to him.

RE: Jehl
Hi Jennifer,
The way I understand that disinterment around the turn of the 20th century through the '30s or so is that some people were made aware of the forthcoming action by S.F. and were able to take charge of their family member's remains. In those cases, these deceased were buried in a grave chosen by the family and, in some, headstones/markers were provide.
