Hi! Thank you so much for the images from the Gaskill Cemetery, especially for the ones of my 4th great grandmother, Elizabeth Gaskill. I really appreciate it. Donald

Thanks so much for the heads up. I have had run-ins with these two folks before - they insist on duplicating others' efforts because they feel their memorials are "better". I and others have tried to get them to stop (these 2 have purposely duped in several LA and AR cemeteries). I have forwarded this issue on to the Admins and hope to have this resolved soon. In the meantime, I would hold off on sending SAC's on these until it's resolved. I will keep you posted.

|Janet Muff||Your message|
And thank you for your kind message. The weather here in VT has been brutal for the past three weeks - very hot, very humid and raining every day. I love that old cemetery in Salem, and visit it every year and have always photographed some of the stones. But I've never made a concerted effort until this year. Needless to say, this year the weather gods are not cooperating, but my pal, Fay Smith, and I got about a dozen more photos today before the rains came.

|Marie & Dale V.||RE: Riddle Family|
Good Morning! Yes they are family, what we call our extended lines. I am a direct descendant of Samuel Job Sr. and the Riddle line is off of one of his daughters.
I would prefer not to transfer but would love to add any info you would like. Would also like to share family info with you if you are interested. My email is listed.

Samuel and Eliza Duckworth are the great grandparents to my great aunt and she married my great uncle - Ed Moore. Is this not close enough of a relative for you to transfer? I wrote St. James and asked him his relationship as I am not sure. He does not live in Tennessee.

Lucy Duckworth married my uncle however for Samuel and Ella I would say that St. John is closer related. Either one of us can add the family information and update the FAGs.

Samuel and Eliza Duckworth. If you are not a relative would you mind transferring them to me. I am adding family connections and history to the Duckworth side of the family. I have been working with Holland St. John on this as well.

|Sarah Locklin Taylor||RE: Alexander and Stanley Cemeteries|
Hello Scott & Priscilla!
You are correct, there are some duplicates. I assure you, I did not create duplicates on purpose. But, I am certainly confused now as to where the cemetery actually lies. Henry Co., GA's USGenWeb Project pages shows the Filmore Stanley aka Alexander Cemetery to be in Henry County. They also note the following:
"Filmore Stanley Family -There are no Filmore's buried here. It was originally the Stanley-Parker Cemetery, later changed to the Filmore Stanley Cemetery and now is being referred to by the park service as the Alexander Cemetery. The cemetery is located in the Panola State Park."
The map on the Rockdale County Website shows the location of the cemetery to be in Rockdale County. Both maps for the cemeteries on FindAGrave are essentially the same location. The photos match as well.
I have no problem removing the duplicates that I created, regardless of which county the cemetery actually lies within. There are headstone photos on some of the memorials I created as well as you have on some of yours. However, my only problem is that I hate to remove memorials where another contributor has taken the time to visit the cemetery, photograph headstones and add them to the memorials as well as creating new memorial with headstone photos that don't seem to be listed on the county websites. I would suggest that you contact FindAGrave Contributor wHerndon.com (#46814430) and see what he can tell you about his visit and his finding additional burials there.
I'm sure that we can come to an agreement as to how we handle the duplicates. As you stated, yours were created in 2007, mine were in 2008. The others memorials, that are not duplicates of yours, we'll just need to be sure they are in the correct location county-wise.

|Dorothy Wilkie||Evelon (Evelyn) Coggin|
I added photos for Evelon Coggin Gillis(spelled Evelyn on the tombstone), who is buried in the small family cemetery, Gillis Cemetery in Biscoe, Montgomery County, NC. I also posted photos of all the other marked graves, including for Evelon's husband William Thomas, and daughter Harriet Gillis, who married David Gordon Gillis. It's a shame that two of the stones are broken.
I hope to be able to take pictures in the Leach Cemetery of Tamer Coggin Leach and other marked graves in that cemetery.

|marty lackey||Samuel Montgomery|
I believe Samuel Montgomery, 1732-1808)a Rev. War Vet, buried in Ellis Ridge Cemetery, TN is my 3d great grandfather but have no definite proof of it. My gg grandmother was Eliza Montgomery, born 1801 in TN and died 1884 in Calhoun Co., MS. She married Philemon Parker in 1828. They are buried in Parker Cemetery, Calhoun Co., MS. Philemon was born 1797 in GA. This cemetery started as a family burial ground on their farm about 1850.
