William C. Rodgers - Memorial# 13410533
Hi Norman,

I was wondering if you can please remove the pictures from Memorial# 13410533 for William Rodgers. Because you are the one that added the photos I cannot remove them. I have been able to track him through the census up until 1920, so this could not be him. Thanks so much for your service to this country and for all that you do on Find A Grave!

Kevin Ashley
Will of Job Umfleet, Wayne Co., NC
Thanks very much for the work you have put into the lineages listed. I am the ggg-grandson of Abram Umphlet whose lineage I have been hunting. I know he was from northern North Carolina and that his son, William Umphlet, moved to Nansemond Co., VA. From your research I believe I can eliminate Job Umfleet as Abram's father. But I think Abram may have been the son of Job's brother, David. Thanks for that.

By the way, I have a transcript of the will of Job Umfleet of Wayne Co., NC dated 1804 and received by the court in 1806. This document mentions that Benjamin had a brother, James, who inherited the plantation in Wayne Co. I do not know if you have this information. If you would like this transcript, write to me at

Thanks again,
Kevin J. Ashley

My previous message regarding your photo of Buck Cemetery is actually requesting the use of your photo and I am asking that it be attached to the Jonathan Buck Cemetery which is also known as the Buck Cemetery. Please see memorial # 49740776
Thank you

Hello, You took a photo of the "Buck Cemetery" which you then placed on memorial # 63037412 There are other graves in this cemetery and I was wondering if you would attach your photo to the actual cemetery so that any grave entered there would also show your photo. It would be helpful for those family members in search of the cemetery to at least know what they are looking for.
Thank you for all your help on this site. It is because of people like yourself that we are able to find information on loved ones lost.
Thank you,

Woodlawn Cemetery
My husband and I walked all through Woodlawn looking for any Huey's and found none. Are you sure that you have the correct cemetery? We were looking for other Find A Grave requests for photos as well so we were pretty thorough.

We would be more than happy to check for them again.

There was an announcement in the obituaries today I am adding that to this note just in case this person was related.

PARK HILLS Henrietta Huey, 95, of Park Hills passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Presbyterian Manor in Farmington. Arrangements are under the direction of the Caldwell Funeral Home in Park Hills.

Samuel & Jane Mason Huey
Hello Norman Umfleet,

The Hueys who are buried at Big Bone are my family. Samuel and Jane Mason are my grandparents X3 by way of their son, Joseph Addison Huey (1819-1896), father of James Addison Huey (1862-1961), the father of my grandmother, Nan Elizabeth Huey Taylor (1893-1993).

I had the good fortune of knowing my great grandparents, James Huey and his wife Sarah Huey Crouch Huey (1861-1956), who lived in Union (Boone County) KY.

If you wish to release all of these Hueys to me, I will accept and add biographical information. If you wish to document further my connection to these Hueys, please refer to my own bio at this website; from there you can search the sources I have used in writing the history of my family.

Many thanks for your interest in keeping us connected to those who have gone before.

Dean Bilyeu
Dear Mr/Srgt Umfleet,
Thank you for the info you gave me on the military headstone. I called the funeral home & sent them the dd214 form they requested. Just off the phone with them now & am told the headstone should be erected 4 to 6 weeks after it is ordered. So, from today. I can't thank you enough for your help. Without the info you gave I imagine Dean would never have had a headstone. He was a true friend & beloved family member. This has put my mind at ease.
