John Sanford Whitmire
Larry,

Thank you so much for the photo of John's grave site headstone (Mem# 14732919). He was my wife's great-great-grandfather.

John moved to MS abt 1852, just after his parents, Marcus and Mary J. (Payne) whitmire.

Research has showed that John and his father were probably the first to settled in MS with the surname "Whitmire".

John died relatively young and was only recorded in the 1870 census with his family in MS, making him very difficult to research. The photo of his headstone helped tremendously. May I have your permission to use it for research purposes.

Thanks,
George Nelson

Hello,

I saw where you posted on Ms. Perry's page (46898499
), and I wondered if you had any further information on her. You see, I think I have traced her to be my great great grandmother, and I believe she is married to James Perry, also an interment in the same cemetery. I am looking for any information you can offer, as I am at a road block. Thank you.

Hi Mr. Morgan - Didn't you have a request for photo's on the 2 above referenced people in the OAKRIDGE CEMETERY in GRAYSON COUNTY TEXAS? How did you find out they were not in OAKRIDGE CEMETERY but are buried in OAKWOOD CEMETERY? I have done some Find A Grave (Find A Grave) work out in OAKWOOD CEMETERY and it is very, very hard to locate burial marker's for people since there is nobody to get any burial information from since this is one of the oldest cemetery's in GRAYSON COUNTY. I have checked several sites on the internet to try and find if the above referenced people have a burial marker or not so I'm not wasting time in my search but so far I can only find that the above referenced people are indeed buried in OAKWOOD CEMETERY in GRAYSON COUNTY but not with any burial markers. I will go out to OAKWOOD CEMETERY next week and do some searching with my husband and let you know what I find. I am not going to CLAIM the above referenced people on the cemetery site until I come up with something since it is going to take some time to walk the whole cemetery. Thank you for your patience. RE: Samual Goolsby
I have the Z from 2 sources. One is a marriage index for male Goolsbys. Samuel is listed as S.Z. when he married in 1888. Also, one of his daughters, Gladys, was my grandmother. On her death certificate it lists his name as Samuel Zeke.

That is what I have based my information on. If you know of anything that contradicts this, please don't hesitate to let me know!

By the way, here is a link to the marriage index I referenced above:

Frances Reynolds
Bettie And Nettie Joyner
These two ladies at Tabernacle Cemetery, Pickins Co., Alabama share a last name as well as a maiden name. Do you know if they also share the same father? I know that Nettie Nash Joyner #52135441 was the daughter of Rueben Boswell Nash and Sydney Frances Harris Nash. Bettie Nash Joyner #10509728 may be a sister of Nettie. I have found a Betty as a sister in our tree, but have not found any information about her. Do you have any information about Bettie's parents? Your help will be most appreciated. Sincerely, Frances Reynolds

"NOTE: Please e-mail or call (972-238-7111) Restland for plot information BEFORE submitting a photo request." Restland Memorial Park is an extremely large cemetery (over 400 acres)and without the plot location it is impossible to find. I tried to get the information but they will only research the location for a family member. Sorry but anyone trying to help you get a photo of your loved one headstone, needs your help first. Without your help, don't expect a photo, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
You can e-mail - http://www.restlandfuneralhome.com/home/contact_us.html
or call - (972-238-7111) Hours are from 9am-6pm CST Monday-Sunday.
Thank you and have a great day.

More Spruills
Hello again Larry,
it looks like you've done my whole family.
I would like to have the rest of these transferred and any others you have that I may have left out of the Spruills .
You have done so much work I hate to ask you for them. If you do not wish to transfer them I understand.

I hardly know what to say. You have done such wonderful work. It is so much easier to link the whole family when you have your family memorials on your own findagrave site, it is easier to show relatives who are interested in family geneology. We have about completed our two families as best we know
and are hoping to include these family memorials.
Thank you again and God Bless

RE: Williams Family
Larry, I am so glad you contacted me. That part of my family has had me stumped for a while.

All I know is that their mother's name was Leona. In the 1860 census she is living with Orpha and her husband John Griggs in Russell County, AL. Leona is married to a Micajah Davenport. Micajah is living with his first wife in the 1850 census, so I'm assuming she died (and Micajah and Leona were married) some time between 1850-1860.

What information do you have on Adoniram?

Larry, I'm curious about something mentioned on Daniel J. Morgan's site on find-a-grave (my great g-father). It mentions a child/"Mollie", but my aunt says that my grandfather, Homer's MOTHER was Mollie (not Mary C. as mentioned there.) I'm attempting to locate info, but don't have THAT much to go off of. My aunt Orpha says that even Homer did not know much about his family, that he was small when Mollie died, and that Daniel died when he was fairly young too.
She says that Mollie is buried at Webb Hill Cemetery, but there prob is no headstone.

Do you know where the information came from??

Fannie Spradling
Memorial# 7284574

I requested a photo on Ms. Spradling and the volunteer said that they walked the cemetery and did/could not find a headstone to take a picture of which is too bad. I am wondering if you would be so kind as to state the above on her memorial so the next person will know that an attempt was made to get a picture of the headstone. Thank you very much - Karen
