|Patti Nance||RE: Leo Bredehoeft|
I have researched the Steffens family on ancestry so I have the names of my grandfather's brothers and sisters. Do you have any Steffens photos? I had a photo of Leo and Marie's wedding and had no idea who is was until I found the same photo on ancestry. I love those moments!

|Sheila Dahl||Rehwaldt or Rehwoldt|
I am Sheila Dahl, looking for information on Julia Rehwoldt who married Ernest Porter. She was 19 when she gave birth to my grandmother Lucille Rehwoldt Porter in New York City. My grandmother was given up for adoption at 17 days old. On the birth certificate it states Julia Rehwoldt was born in Chicago.
I saw you had a message about this name, if you can help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do you have any idea why part of the Schuettes spelled their last name "Schutte" instead of keeping it like the others? Makes it confusing!

I'm working on updating this cemetery and noticed that you have quite a few memorials and photos here. There seem to be some additions to this cemetery since your visit, so you might want to check out the listings. I hope to finish up on this in the next few days.

In updating these cemeteries, I've been getting my information from a site that the local historical society set up. They have drawn from a lot of different sources...church records, county records, state records and so on.
beyond that, I'm afraid I have no information.

The admins ran the "auto de-duper" on St. Pauls and merged approximately 100 exact duplicates. In the coming weeks, I will be submitting SACs on the remaining ones.

Thanks for the reply! I never know when I don't get a reply if it's because there is a deadbeat contributor or if there is a problem
And I agree completely..often times there is an error in the death certificate.

|John Bauer||RE: Samuel Beard|
I noticed that inscription also, "Killed by Federals." Another stone for a woman having the same surname (Beard) bears the same inscription, and same date of death. The 1863 year leads me to believe their deaths were Civil War related. And the fact that a young woman died suggests it might have been accidental. Samuel was age 30, the woman 25. She may have been his sister, since he was married to my cousin, Martha D. Emerson Beard, who survived whatever event, and lived another 20 years before being buried in the same cemetery (presumably beside Samuel).
Thanks for the kind transfer!
