I have transferred Williams Memorial to your care. You can now make any changes that you want for William. I no longer can add or change anything on his Memorial. I'm confident that you will take care and add information and link family members.

In reference to the above mentioned, it seems you may be able to add more to the Memorial than myself. If you want to manage his Memorial just send me a request on the edit tab and I will transfer his Memorial to you to manage. I am related but not as closely as you, its important to me that William has someone that will care for his memorial. Have a great day.

Irene: I have added the Bio. for Myrtle Elixman. I noticed that Harold Elixman 1939 - 2014 and Patricia Elixman 1941 - 2006
do not have marker photos. I will get photos for them the next time I am at Fairmount. It has been over 100 here for the last three days, when it cools down some I will get out to Fairmount.

Ann "Nancy" Griffith Silver #33842758
It has just been brought to my attention that my posting for Ann "Nancy" Griffith Silver is a duplicate. Accordingly, I will be deleting this memorial. But you had posted a messageto her page, so I wanted to let you know the remaining memorial will be at Nancy Ann Griffith Silver #45794187
Your message:
Nancy is my 4th g-grandmother. The following information comes from the Silver Family newsletter, June 2003 (and bless all the hard-working Silver researchers!):Each of us who descend from the immigrant George Silver and his son George Jr., are also descended from George Jr.'s wife, Nancy Griffith, who accompanied him and their children to KONA. Nancy was the g-g-granddaughter of Maureen Duvall, a French Huguenot who settled in Maryland in 1650. Among Duvall's other descendants are your cousins Harry Truman and the Duchess of Windsor. A Duvall family society was formed in 1926 and they host a family reunion every year that draws folks from as far away as California. Duvall cousins who attend the reunion have found the Duvalls to be warm and welcoming. Nancy Griffith was the g-granddaughter of the Scotsman, John MacCubbin who immigrated from Ayrshire, Scotland around 1660. Through him we are descended from the MacGregors and are reportedly descended from King Kennith MacAlpin. (Publisher: As a scholar of Scottish history I can assure you we descend from Gregor, third son of King MacAlpin. The prefix "Mac" means son of, thus the name of Mac Gregor, son of Gregor. The MacGregors were one of the fiercest Scottish Clans to ever don the kilt and to go into battle with the broadsword, rest assured!)

George Silver #33842797
I has just been brought to my attention that my posting for George Silver is a duplicate. Accordingly, I will be deleting this memorial. But you had posted a messages to his page, so I wanted to let you know the remaining memorial will be at Johann Jurg "George" Silver, Jr #45794177

Your posting:
George is my 4th G-Grandfather. His birth year is indeed 1753, as attested by the recording of his christening (along with his twin sister Elizabeth) at Augustus Lutheran Church in Montgomery Co. PA. He served in the Continental Line for 5 years; he fought in the Battle of Germantown under General Washington, where he was grazed by a bullet; he was present when Major Andre, the British spy, was hanged, and was
present at Yorktown when Cornwallis surrendered. After Yorktown, he was attached to Major General Nathaniel Green's army in South Carolina. At the end of the Revolutionary War, he returned to Annapolis and then Fredericktown MD where he was
discharged. All their children were born in MD. In late 1806 George and his wife Nancy Griffith
(descended from the Duvalls of Maryland) moved to North Carolina, arriving in the Little Crabtree
section of (then) Burke Co. (now Mitchell Co.) in a blinding snowstorm. They moved on to the
Toe Valley and homesteaded there; their original home still stands. Many, many thanks to the
Silver family researchers who have documented so much of this line. ~Irene Wheeler Merrill

As for your request for the transfer of John Henry Wheeler, I must decline as one of the members of the Wyatt Archives is a direct as well. The Wyatt Archives is made up of a big number of family members that help with research and add photos and information to our data base of which at this time is private. I have ask that person about the transfer and they declined at this time.

Wheeler Duplicates
Hi Irene,
I am extremely irritated with all of the duplicate Wheeler memorials that I've been finding in Yancey and Buncombe County. They are not coming from you, they are however, coming from someone you know. Must be another one of those cases where 32 GG-grands that are 12 times removed can't settle on which one of them will manage their ancestors. Look at #86401412 for instance; the photo is yours, but it's listed in the wrong cemetery. Gwen Bodford's transcription of Yancey County shows the correct monument in the Silvers Cemetery, not the Allen Cemetery. This is beginning to get out of hand. Also, this is only the tip of the iceberg, for there are many more listed in incorrect cemeteries that are all duplicates or "best guess" memorials. I'd love to speak with you further if you will contact me.

Thank you so much. We had been together 60 years and it will be hard to go on without him. Regardless of his age, the death was fairly sudden and unexpected. Keep me in your prayers.
