Find A Grave Memorial# 118965996 (George A & Almira Dodge)

Just an FYI on these two from cemetery records I've come across.

There is only one plot listed with the Dodge name (last name only) but with a notation that the bodies were later removed. It is possible that the pair of them were buried in Stratford and then later moved to another location. I haven't found anything official about such a move. If you have resources available to you, and an interest in perusing this, it would be great to confirm or deny it and, if moved, set up memorials for them in their final resting place and link them to these two.

RE: Ann Thomas Find A Grave Memorial# 28340018

I can understand that and I agree with you about checking first. When I've created dups and realized it, I've moved any new information to the original memorial and deleted what I'd entered.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Ann Thomas Find A Grave Memorial# 28340018

The memorial you added above in 2008 has been duplicated by Jacqueline Conforti Barnett in November 2015. Her memorial has much more information as well as family pictures.

Since there are two memorials that duplicate, one should be removed. Yours has the lesser information. Would it be possible for you to delete yours in favor of hers? If not, could you get in touch with her to merge the memorials somehow?

Thank you so very much for posting burial site of my 2nd great Grandpa. I would have never known where his grave site was if you had not shared it on It means a lot to me, as you can imagine, researching my father's paternal line of "Smith", would not be possible if it weren't for people like you!

After reviewing this grave I noticed you have Andrew H Downing Jr (the brother) listed as the father. Andrew H Downing Sr is the father.
Thomas Gibson Downing is my grandfather. I would be more than happy to have the management be transferred to me if that is more convenient. I did also send a request to link my grandmother as his wife.
Thanks for all you have done for Find a Grave.

Samuel Anderson
I have been reviewing this site and have a question about Samuel's wife,(Jerusha Lyons). Samuel Anderson of this site was married to Sarah Bennett. The Samuel Anderson you have listed was buried in Union Cemetery, Westfield , Chatauqua county, New York. His birth was 1762-1837 and he was married to Jerusha Lyons> note that the Samuel of this site was born 1758-1831 and was born in Blandford, and buried in Pioneer cemetery in Sidney , Delaware County ,New York.

I cannot thank you enough for the information you posted about John and Helen Thomas. They were my great grandmother's brother and sister-in-law. I have found so little information about my family. This was a huge breakthrough for me. My heart is so happy! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the work you do.

For my cousin Max memorial 75764169 you have the death date 1948. He passed away in 1978. which is also the date on the tombstone. I figure it was just a typo error.

Margaret Parker
Dear Tom, First I would like to thank you for all the work you have been doing on Find A Grave. My name is Donna Moran McFadden and I am the Great Granddaughter of Margaret Price Parker. I was so excited to find her grave listed. Because her maiden name was Price, I am hoping that you are related to her. She was married to John Parker and her daughter, Maude was my Grandmother. Unfortunately, her husband murdered her and was incarcerated in Eastern State. There are many news articles that I have discovered about this incident. I did not know about this until I started tracing my roots. My Grandmother never told any of us about it. Is there any information at all that you can tell me about Margaret? How did you find her birth date? Do you know what town in Wales she came from? I do not have much information about her except some details about her children and, of course, the tragedy. I would appreciate anything you could tell me. My email is Thank you .

About time

Just thinking that it's been awhile since I typed a "Thank You" at you... so...

Thank you so much for all your work, it has been a great help to me, being stuck in New Jersey and not able to walk all the cemeteries that you have. I really do appreciate it.

Lucy A. Bedient Memorial# 15712143
Just a couple of corrections for you. Lucy was the third and final wife of Zalmon Bedient. She died 23 Dec. 1864. You have her death year as 1844 in error. That's easy enough to do since her death date by looking at the picture on the site is almost gone. Lucy's maiden name was Baldwin and she married ____ Briggs who died before 1850.

From a fellow volunteer.

Keiper family
Hi, I had contacted Find A Grave about some memorials some one had added into Greenwood cemetery that were already added into Oak Ridge. I asked them not to merge them with the ones added in Oak ridge, but it looks like they merged them anyway. Very sorry about that. It was Elizabeth Keiper and husband Frederick Keiper. It looks like that other memorial merger changed his middle name. I don't know why Find A Grave always has to merge things! That messes up the information like names and dates. I just wanted to let you know because it also looks like they gave management of those 2 memorials to that other person.

Ann Morgan Samuels - Forest Home Cemetery, Taylor, PA
Where did you get this information on Ann Morgan Samuels? Her husband is not Aaron Samuels, as you suggest, but Benjamin Samuel, who died over in Wales, before Ann came over to America with her daughter, Emily and son-in-law, Henry H Harris. I know this because I am her great great granddaughter and I have been trying to find this family in Forest Home Cemetery for YEARS now. My two sisters just walked this cemetery only five days ago and could NOT find her gravestone. Do you know where her gravestone is located? If so, Emily, Henry, and two other people are also buried there with her. I am wondering if you did not see her gravestone, where did you get all her info - birth, death, etc? I have a copy of her death certificate that I am looking at right now and the information is given by her son-in-law, Henry H. Harris. It does not list her husband, but does give her parents' names which you have correct. I am extremely EXCITED about this as our whole family would love to know exactly where the Harris family gravestone is (Ann Samuel being Emily Harris's mother). Hopefully you saw it, if not, do you know what lot or section she is buried in? Thanks again.
