RE: Lydia & George N. Haynes
Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it. I live in Florida, but we try to go to NY every year. I love that part of the country so it will be a nice drive. If we go, I will forward any corrections to you.

Thanks again.

Lydia & George N. Haynes
Could you double check the death date of George N. Haynes and the listing of Lydia Haynes with NOTE: Wife of George N. Haynes, died 16 July 1866, 47 yrs.
George N. Haynes, died 1810 age 72 yrs.
He had no wife by the name Lydia (he married Sarah Mariah Mead and was living in 1898). George was living in 1880 but dead by 1892.

I would appreciate it if you could look at these two again. Both buried in the Mann Cem., Morris, Otsego Co., NY.

Thank you in advance from a fellow volunteer on FindaGrave.

Recent obit for you to update his info.

Roger Keene Strong of Farmington, Conn., died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, after a long illness. He was 89.

Roger was born March 2, 1925, in Syracuse, N.Y., to the late Harry M. and Frances D. Strong, and big brothers, Stanley and Harry Strong.

As a child of the Great Depression, Roger's childhood was defined by moves to various locations in New York and Michigan as required by his father's employment. The Strong family was living in Michigan when Roger graduated from high school and World War II was in full swing. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was still in pilot training when the war ended, so he went off to Michigan State University to complete a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While he was in college, his parents moved to Dalton, Pa., where Roger met and married in 1949 'the girl next door,' Jeannette Wehr. Roger and Jeannette moved to Doylestown, and had two daughters, Rebecca and Martha.

Roger was fortunate to work for Honeywell for 35 years designing and testing instruments. He took great pride in his work and his many technical accomplishments.

In his personal time, Roger was a longtime member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church, loved to vacation in the hills of the northeast, play Bridge, and visit with family in Dalton. He was a very accomplished handyman and spent much of his free time making renovations to the family house and yard. As he neared retirement, he and Jeanne bought a series of RVs and spent much time travelling the back roads of the U.S. In 1993, he and Jeannette took the bold move of selling the family home and moving to Branson, Mo., a favorite retirement and music community of the Midwest. There they spent almost 10 years with new friends and activities while continuing their travels even further to the west.

In 2003, he and Jeannette moved back east to Farmington, Conn., to be closer to their daughter, Martha.

In addition to his wife, Jeannette, He is survived by his daughters, Martha Strong of West Hartford, Conn., and Rebecca Allen with husband, Calvin, of Winchester, Va; two grandsons, Matthew Allen with wife, Alison Borek, of Mamaroneck, N.Y., and Drew Allen with wife, Jennifer, of Winchester, Va.; one great-granddaughter, Leila Allen; nephews, Gregory Strong and Doug Peck; and nieces, Gretchen Strong and Susan Livingston.

A private ceremony is planned at a later date followed by internment in Fairlawn Cemetery in Dalton, Pa.

According to my family records, Florence A Harrison married E L Santee and lived in Scranton. She was born in 1852 and died in 1925. (a sister of my GGF, T.B. Harrison, 1858-1936)

This all matches well with your Find A Grave post. But I do not understand the "Rood" part. What is the source of that?

ISABEL M. CODY 88914643
Dear Tom,

Thank you so much for transferring the memorial for Isabel Mulberry Cody to me. She was born in Ireland, immigrated to Canada with her mother and siblings, then married Reverend James B. Cody. They immigrated to the United States, traveling to different parishes in the U.S. ... New York and Pennsylvania.

Most of Isabella's siblings are buried in Saskatchewan and Alberta cemeteries. My father had told me that Isabella died near Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Thank you for helping me put the 'puzzle together'.

RE: Catherine Mains
Hi Tom,
Thank you for the information. I will delete the memorial I have for Catherine Mains. I have a transcription list for the cemeteries in Delaware Co, NY, thus her memorial. Unfortunately, there is so much information missing from the list of moved graves from Cannonville to other cemeteries.

Happy hunting!

Additional Davies/Beckenbaugh's

There are some Davies/Beckenbaugh's coming through for requests. We have already taken those photos and will fulfill them tonight. Just wanted to give you the heads up, so you did't do something that's already done.

Edward & Christine (Harlos) Armstrong
Good morning Tom:
Thank you so much for taking the time to take the photos of the headstone for Edward and Christine (Harlos) Armstrong in Taylor Cemetery.
I really appreciate it since the one that was taken by another volunteer was illegible.
Have a good weekend.
