RE: Gary family
You can see the pension record at Fold3 for free right now, that's how I got the dates on the pension record. It also has his marriage date and place.

RE: Gary family
Thanks so much for telling me about the pension. Now we know that Lumon was still alive in 1873 and in 1871 he says he is living in St. Charles township in Saginaw County. I went through the census for that township in 1870 and he isn't there. I also went through ward 6 of East Saginaw which is where his son William is living and he isn't there either. I'll keep trying.

RE: Gary family
I'm afraid you and I are stuck in the same place. I have found 6 of their children, but I'm pretty sure there are 3 more. I don't have the parents of Polly Marsh either. Wish I could be more help.

transferring Cowger 10
It is on the FAQ page. I think you have my member #.
I don't have it memorized.
The History of Licking County, pg 497, was a good source of information for Hannah & Nicholas. That page said they moved to Licking County in 1815. Their children were born in Virginia.

Thank you very much. I Think it may be on an information page. I'll ask someone who has done that.

RE: Levi Trumbo Letter

thank you for your reply. Another question & comment. Hannah Cowger (1778-1862)was only daughter of George & Hannah Cowger. She choose to have Jacob Trumbo, her stepfather, to be her guardian after George died. She married Nicholas Shaver and moved to Licking County, Ohio. There were no indications that she communicated with her brothers, Henry and John Cowger. Do you think there is a connection?

Levi Trumbo Letter
That was so interesting and funny to read Levi's letter. He would probably turn over in his grave if he knew the letter went so public. Would you tell me the source?
Levi's father and George Cowger bought a parcel of land that was split between the two. Many of the names mentioned are in my husband's family's history.

Cowger Cemetery #10
This cemetery is on our property where my husband & I will be buried. Is there any way that the cemetery and memorial could be transferred to me? I wrote the book George and Hannah Hawes Cowger of Pendleton County Virginia/West Virginia Five Generations 1774 - 1974.

Charles Hiser Memorial
Thanks for the will info, I have posted it to his memorial. While he is not my direct line, I knew Rufus Siple, a most kind and talented man, so when the Pendleton Historical Society provided this information, I knew I had to create his memorial. Thanks again. chriseyec

Hey there Denny!
I'm thrilled to find you on Find A Grave! I had no idea you were a fan of this site, but I see you discovered it way before I did. I have to admit that I love it more than any other site and spend all my time on it. Mindy caught me up on the girls and I am just amazed that they are so grown up already. You must be a proud father!

I too walked the entire cemetery and did not find a stone. There are a lot of stones that are worn so much you can't read a name.

RE: Alman R. Gary in Banker Cemetery note
That would be awesome if you could get him a military stone! He certainly was a Civil War soldier!

Alman R. Gary in Banker Cemetery note
My friend replied, "Alman Gary does not have a grave stone. I too have been to that cemetery and although I understand he is buried in Section 3, Grave 33, I do not know exactly where that is within the Bankers Cemetery. Also, the SUVCW site shows he does not have a stone, but shows the cemetery records were checked to confirm he is there." Thanks. Margaret Hobso

Please can you name the children in the family photo of William Harness Miller. Do you have a date for the picture? I am wondering if it was taken before Goldie's birth. Your time and help are appreciated.

I can't help you with any other info on this person. I happened to come across the death certificate while surfing another website and created a memorial from the info that was on it. I have no familial ties with this person nor with 98% of the other persons I have created memorials for. Sorry!

Lorin Gray In North St. Cemetery
I was NOT able to locate a grave marker for Lorin Gray at North Street Cemetery in Auburn NY. However, there is a stone partially buried face-down near the possible burial location. This may or may not be the stone. I posted a photo to website:
