Potter
Vicki, As I said before I am happy to do it and you are more than welcome!!! I will see what I can do when the weather improves but the stone lettering is bad. Maybe a little water and a scrub brush will help. We shall see. Don

I am a historian in Texas and am researching/writing about Women's Suffrage movement in Texas. I have found that your relative was quite the suffragist/organizer and just thought you might want information on her if you don't have it. I'm happy to share what I find as I further research about her and would love it if you have information you'd like to share, too.

Hi Vicki,
I keep leaving duplicate messages, sorry, I can't tell if the "leave this message" button is working.

Yes, that is the same Catherine Stafford, so I guess we are cousins, and I didn't realize there was a society for Descendents of the Garter, how cool!

A fix for Alice Willoughby Sewell
Hi Vicki,
Thanks so much for maintaining Henry and Alice Sewell. I noticed something on Alice's Find A Grave Memorial# 77492789 that needs to be fixed. Her father was Thomas Willoughby. Right now it shows her father as "Capt. Thomas Sewell". I figured you might want to look at that. I hope you're still enjoying genealogy and finding new friends. I love genealogy too.
Cheers,
a very far-off cousin,
Steph P.

Garnet M. Lane
Was researching my Grt-Grnd-parents Hannah & Ellery Douglas & saw that Garnet M. Lane was linked as part of Douglas family... Could you confirm this??? This would mean she was a sister of Flossie Mae Douglas (married twice as Lamb & Wright)if so I have a few pics you may like of Hannah...

RE: Job Giddings
Hi Vicki-the reason its a decent photo is because I used my mirror. Most of the stones in that cem are in constant shade, because behind them and on both sides is a pine forest, and the sun comes around, and eventually shines on some of them. So I have to use a mirror, and hold it in one hand, and take the photo with my other hand. The stone needs some serious cleaning, as most of them do in that cem, because of no sun.

RE: James Cooper
There are a lot of open spaces between stones so it is possible he just never had a stone. There are also at least a hundred graves with plain old field rocks to mark the grave. Sorry I couldn't find him for you.

Hi Vicki! I see someone was finally able to get out there and take those photos for you. Funny! I just went there TODAY and got a whole bunch of shots only to discover there was no longer a need. It's a beautiful site. If you want the other shots, let me know!

No the only headstone visible was that of Solomon Abbott. The area had a couple of field stones but nothing was engraved on them and they were laying in a random order on the outskirts of the grave area. I looked under the stones just to make sure they hadn't fallen over and hid possible enscriptions. None did so I placed them back as I had found them.

Vicky, the credit goes to the Fairfield Historical Museum and the Eagle Scouts who took photos of all the headstones several years ago. The Historical Museum has them all on disks, and I have thanked the Librarian there profusely for finding the photos and sending them on to me. I did nothing except ask for them.

Hi again. The office confirmed that the family never purchased a marker for Teresa, so I had to fulfill your request with a photo of the area only. The office staff confirmed that the family never purchased a marker for Teresa. I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome.

Regards,
Bonnie

Hello! I went out there yesterday to get a photo and could not find the marker. I'm sure I was at lot 10, Sunrise Slope, as the little cement number markers were readable. Do you know for sure that is the right location? I am going there again this week so if you could get back to me before my "claim" expires, I would appreciate it. For now, all I have is a photo of the area.

Regards,
Bonnie

Lucie Juliett Blackmon Pickett
#67910026 is incorrect. This memorial shows her parents to be born after she was born. They are her children. Memorial #90531850 is correct. Her name is Lucy Blackmon on stone. Don't know where the Pickett comes in. Shirley White
