A Marine's Daughter
RE: Joseph Vernon Estes' Obituary
You're welcome. Just trying to do my part. Besides, if I can't find my own ancestors, at least I can help others find their kindred dead whose resting places I walk past every day

Jeane‎ Delano
Doctor P. Hurlbut
Hi Larry,

My hard drive broke and just getting back to normal. Wanted
to thank you for the above grave lookup.

I thought my greatgrand father Philetus Hurlbut/Hulber was
the one envolved with "Joseph Smith", but this obit has proved
he wasn't the one.

Their first names are similar, both lived in Vermont, both fathers
were ministers, both lived in same two places in New York, one
married a Barnes in Vermont, the other lived with a Barnes from
Vermont. Two years difference in age.

Wish I could find D.P. Hurlbut's parents.

Thanks again, Jeane Delano

Doctor P. Hurlbut
Thank for the pictures of D.P. Hurlbut. I thought for a long
time that he was my great grandfather. The names are so close,
his Philastus, mine Philetus, D.P. b 1809, mine b.1811, both
lived in Vermont, both lived in same areas of N.Y., mine 's mother
was Elizabeth Barnes, and D.P. lived with a Julia Barnes in same
area at the same time.

Interesting person. Check out the Making of America book online,
and Google for interesting beginnings of Joseph Smith and the
Book of Morman, and the part he played in it.

Had a broken hard drive and lost time and info, but did want to
say thanks. J. Delano

William Metz stone
Thanks so much for the photo of William Metz stone at Bakertown Cemetery, Clyde, Sandusky County, Ohio, USA. I have put his wife's memorial up and requested a photo of her stone, which is on the same stone at William's. This is my biological family - it means a lot to me.

Louis Alberti 1863 - 1865
Larry,
thank you so much for the fotos! You gave me my 3rd cousin 3 times removed "Little Louis". I knew from the 1900 census that Theresia Zipfel Alberti gave birth to 4 children who died in infancy but I didn't find any information about these children.
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your kindness.
