RE: fmily of henry tompkins
Hi Ruth,
Thank you so much. I have visited their graves a few years ago and took pics of many of the graves in Medway Hill Cemetery and Wilbur Cemetery. I have them on a disc if anyone is interested in one I will send it.
Oh, and Caroline's name is actually Susan Caroline.
Thanks again.

fmily of henry tompkins
I was looking at Henry and Abigail Tompkins. Their children were listed but one was not there. My Great Grandmother. They also had a girl Susan Caroline born in 1848. Her death was 19 August 1889. She married my Great Grandfather Robert. Their son William was my Grandfather. My Mother's Dad. They are buried in the Medway Hill Cemetery in New Baltimore, NY

RE: Memorial # 35857723
Thank you so much, everything looks correct now, I see you made a new memorial for John H. b.1828. He was the son of John (b.1801 and Anna Maria (Allen) Grassfield, if that helps you. Thanks for the transfer offer, but they are not my direct line, but they are all related to each other. Thanks again for your quick help in this matter.

Memorial # 35857723
In regard to the memorial #35857723, for Charles Henry Grassfield (1849-1850)His memorial has been attached to the wrong Father's memorial here on Find A Grave that you are editor of. His Father was John H. Grassfield, who was born in 1828, and was married to Lucinda Lasher. My GGgrandfather was also named John Henry Grassfield, (memorial #145037535) and he was born in 1821, and was married to Mary A. Raymond, was the son of David, and Sally (Orcutt)Grassfield. These two John's were Cousins. I am requesting if would, Edit the Father's info for Charles Henry, as he's showing up as a child on my GGgrandfather's memorial page. You made need to create a new memorial page for him, John b.1828. Thank you

Re: George Pierce
Hi Ruth,

Thanks for searching for George Pierce's burial site.

George Pierce was struck by a vehicle on Jan. 8th of 1948 and died later that day at Bathgate Hospital, Stamford. He was 81 yrs. of age, born at Blenheim Hill and lived in Grand Gorge.

Funeral services were from Hall Funeral Home, and his body was placed in the Stamford Cemetery vault for burial at Tannersville later.

I got this info from the front page of The Otsego Farmer of Friday, Jan. 9th, 1948. I hope it leads to his interment site. Thanks again,

RE: George Pierce
Hi Ruth,

Do you know if there's a George Pierce intered in Evergreen Cemetery at Tannersville?

I have the info about him for a memorial, and I know he was buried in Tannersville, but not the name of the cemetery.

Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks,

RE: Spencer Family
Great. Any questions or comments let me known. I also attached most of this Spencer branch to my Brown Family Tree at .... don't think I finished most of Seldin Spencer's family yet.

Ichabod of CT > one of his sons Seldin Spencer of Ulster Cty NY > one of his six sons Alvin D. Spencer of same > one of Alvin's three sons James C. Spencer of same > one of his four sons James D. Spencer of same > his only known son James Lewis Spencer b. 1911. Just found a son by Lewis b. 16 Apr 1940 "James Alyca Spencer" !!

RE: Spencer Family
Hi Ruth .... which "james Spencer" do you need ? or both ? There was the father James C. Spencer died 1938 - wife was Sarah a/k/a Phebe .... AND his son James D. Spencer born 1883 buried I don't know where - wife was Anna Kemme. I found in some records that the latter James had his middle initial mis-stated as "C." Let me know. RE: Lillian Hornbeck
I do not have a subscription to Ancestry. Yes, I have a connection to the Hornbeck line. I know that Theodore's father was Samuel Hornbeck. The name I have for his mother is Elney (? - from one of the census) I'm trying to find out Samuel's father and see if I can link him to one of my lines. BTW, are you in Ulster County, NY? I see that you've entered a lot of graves from cemeteries in Saugeties and surrounding areas. I'm down in Esopus myself.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and for the explanation. I will update the information on my tree. You may post the obituary if you would like. Do you happen to have any more information on the Hornbeck line (Arthur back)?

Kerr Family Greene County, New York
I have noticed that you have created memorials to many of the Kerr family in Greene County, New York and was wondering if you are related to this family?
My husband is related to this family. His line is with Martin Kerr, who I believe is the son of George E. and Joanne Kerr. Martin married two of the Blakeslee sisters, Mary E. and Cynthia. Martin seems to be a brick wall. He died at age 42 (born about 1825). I have found him on 1860 census only and on draft registration 1861-1863. If you are related to this family have you any information on Martin? If you aren't, thank you so much for all your work. It has helped me find some missing pieces to the family puzzle and prove some information.
