|Dorothy Downer Saddler||So appreciated!|
Janna....I just completed my family tree for the Daughters of the American Revolution and cannot express my appreciation for all the hard work you do. What seem to be small bits of information can be a huge help to those who come behind us seeking out their family history. Thank you so much and God bless!

Thanks for posting information about Abia Ranney and her parents. Since I do not know where her father, Joel Cyrus, was buried or cremated and thus cannot create a memorial for him, it is good to have the information posted on her memorial.

I found out from the cemetery record that Adia E. Ranney 126500493 definitely is my ancestor so could you please transfer her memorial to me 48224322 as I would like to add information about her and her family from the cemetery record and the 1880 US Census. The cemetery record indicates that her plot was owned by "J.C. Ranney" (Joel Cyrus Ranney), a maternal ancestor of mine.

I believe this is the child of an ancestor. But to confirm, can you make out how many years old she was?

Aunt Dorothy was such a love! She'd always sign her letters, "your Aunt Dorothy in Kansas." It means a lot to see her final resting place. Thank you again!

I was not aware that Orlandus had remarried and headed to California, nor had I seen the other memorial for him. I believe from everything I can find that he is actually buried in Los Gatos. The family did bother to add his death date to his wife's headstone in OH, but my guess is that he is really buried in CA, and I have added a note to his OH memorial stating that.
