Carrie Sunderlin
granddaughter Carrie Sunderlin....

you were nice enough 2 post Henry's will 13 years ago on a list.....I was just connecting dots to see were they lead

Carrie 2nd cousin 2x removed of my mom she descends from a Amos Rogers in Putnam county who was my mom's 3rd great grandfather. I have a Matilda A. "Nancy" Townsend marrying a William Bird Green that just end up in Michigan from Ohio...the Townsend name intrigued me...until I realized just how many there mom's great grandparents Matilda and Bird have a son Charles Andrew Green who married a Eliza Baker whose mom was a Martha Haviland and daddy a Jonathan Ferris Rogers that descends from a Amos Rogers in Putnam county.

Miss Carrie Sunderlin , daughter of the late John Sunderlin , formerly of Patterson, died very suddenly of dropsy of the heart, at the residence, of her sister-in-law, Mrs. M.A. Sunderlin , Galesburg, Ill, on Sunday evening, May 19th, at 7:30 o'clock. Her home was at Milan, Ill., and she had gone to Galesburg the previous Wednesday, on a visit. Her illness was only of a few hours duration and she was conscious to the end.

We make the following extract from the obituary published in the Galesburg Daily Republican Register of the 20th ult.:

"Miss Sunderlin was fifty-nine years of age, having been born on a farm near Towner's Station, Putnam County, New York, in 1842. Her early life was spent at her birthplace, and later the family moved to Pawling, N.Y. Ultimately her parents and two brothers died, and five years ago she came to Milan, Ill., to reside with an uncle, Peter Rogers. He died in June, 1899, since when she had lived alone at Milan. She joined the Baptist Church when she was sixteen years old, and she taught Sunday School for twenty-one years.

Besides her sister-in-law and other relatives by marriage living in Galesburg and other places she is survived by a cousin George E. Sunderlin , of Carmel, N.Y., and a niece, Mrs. J.R. Moore, of Kewanee. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but the burial will be in Galesburg."

Have a good one,

Wife of Elisha Sanborn
Hi Dawnee,
I am new at this contributing of photos. I posted the photo of Elisha Sanborn on the Old Wheelock Cemetery page. I also have a photo of his wife's Hannah, however, am unsure of how to post it to you as I did with Elisha, so that you would be notified. I will try to just post it to that cemetery page for her.
Hope this makes sense. Just wanted to let you know that I have a photo of Elisha's wife.
