Hey do you live in Alexandria City, VA? Because one of my distant cousin's wife died in Alexandria, VA, and I was wondering if you lookup obituaries too?

|Juliane||Request for Transfer of Management|
I'm writing to request that you kindly transfer management for John Merryman III (memorial number 14757060) to my care. He is a direct line g-g-g-+ grandfather on my father's side of the family.
Thank you so much for doing this important work!

|melanie hurley||Parent of Mamie Clark Folks|
The parents listed for my great-grandmother, Mamie Clark Folks are incorrect, as are the siblings. No family tie to Colliersville in Rockbridge County. BTW, Mamie and Will Folks are African American and I believe the other Clarks may be White.
Her father was Jesse Folks of the Jermantown area of Fairfax County. Her husband, William Folks, my great grandfather is correct.

Thanks for the reply.
Mr Harris' story is amazing and as a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, I am very interested in identifying patriots who served in various ways during the founding of our country. I had hoped to find a stone, but as you say, this poor old cemetery is basically an empty field.
If you turn up any additional info in your research, I would certainly appreciate a nudge!

Please forgive my poor grammar on that last message, English is my only language, I just screw it up every now and again:-)

Why does Sara Macaulay's memorial spelled Mccaulay.
I am not complaining but am very curious as to why you chose to spell the name this way. It its just a typo no problem but If you have copied from a document that spells it different that is what I am interested in.
The tomb stone photo that has now been added to the memorial has the spelling as Macaulay. It will make a difference as to which family She gets included with.
Thank you for the entry and your understanding on this query

Bill and I were roommates in Monmouth College, West Long Branch,NJ. He was a great guy, always up for fun. I lost track of him and ask if you know the circumstances of his death. Thanks for creating his memorial.

|in memory of grandma||Hazard Hall|
Cliff, thanor updating Hazard Hall.
Don't forget I had updates for his wife where I used the new Edit feature. If you are not familiar wiht that, you go to your home page, where you see this message. Look at the top, and you should see a goup of tabs. On the left side you will see 2 tabs labeled:
On the right you will see 3:
Edits, Contributor Tools, Edit my profile.
The one labeled edits is what is new. If someone has sent you a new edit request edit will be labeled something like "Edit(#)" where # is the number of updates you have received. So if you were to see "Edits(2)" means you have two new update requests...
Anyway, if you click on the tab, then you see what the requests are. If you click accept, then the system makes the updates for you..
Anyway, in the case of Mary Hall, you should see 2: One to link her to Hazard her husband, the other to include her maiden name.
Let me know if you have questions.
Thanks again for updating Hazard's bio.

Transfered a lot of memorials for Old Saint Pauls Cemetery to you that were duplicates. The ones have obituary information or grave stone pics.

Thanks for your quick response. As I go through my "archives" I may find more information. Susan and William had a daughter, Hattie Simpson Forrest (#68695445). Her memorial is managed by someone else, and I have requested that they make the link.
