Charles Engel
On the Cemeteries of Medicine Hat and District site
it lists the following info for Charles Engel interred in St George's Parish Cemetery (SW 36-11-3-W4, about one half mile south of Irvine):
"Engel, Charles: died 25 Nov 1918, at 38 years. Block 1, lot 14, north 1/2. Reference Albert Engel"

I have a relative named Charles Engel who died on 25 Nov 1918 and his brother was Albert Engel, who lived close to him north of Irvine. I would appreciate it if you would confirm that your data on the Find A Grave site for "Charles Engels" is correct. Thank you.

Not sure if this is the same one because of the different year of death.

RE: Thank you!
Hi Wanda,
I am glad I could help you out! I want to try to get back there and finish up photographing that section (Section 7) of the cemetery. I believe he has a military marker as well. I was there yesterday and just as I took the photo of his gravestone it started down-pouring. I will let you know if he has another stone.

RE: Hello
Yes, I am related to them. They are a distant relation. "Kicker" was my fathers best friend. I still associate with Mike (facebook) and many other Rank's. They live in Michigan and, in fact, are celebrating the yearly Rank reunion as we speak. Are you related?

I made the nickname and maiden name corrections manually. I'm not making the change in the middle initial. To me it is proper to place a period after a letter when the letter goes in the middle name block. The stone has a period after the S. Thanks for the corrections.

RT Wilson Sr.
Great picture of RTW Sr.! I have some information about his financial involvement in southwest Virginia if you are interested. He saved a very important farming enterprise.

Catherine Brandow Schermerhorn
I am researching the Brandow family for someone who wants to join DAR. I see you put a picture of Catherine on her memorial--do you have any additional information about her? There is a bit of confusion about her mother's name and I thought you might have an obituary for her. The DAR applicant is descended from Catherine's brother who died almost 30 years before she did.

Hello. Today I walked the Eagle Mills Cemetery looking to fill photo requests. It is a well maintained cemetery and easy to walk. I did not find the stones you requested. There were some old, worn stones that were unreadable. There were a couple stones that had fallen face down. I try to be careful but could have missed a name. I wanted to let you know your requests are active and not overlooked.

RE: I found Charles L Morrison
That's great! You might want to remove your photo request so no one else looks for him.

Happy to help.

RE: Caroline and Kenneth Rank
You're very welcome. I was waiting for the excuse to visit Erin Grove.

I didn't find Charles Morrison…yet. The only Morrison I found was Frank, right next to the Ranks. I'm looking for access to the cemetery records to verify Charles' location.

Stay tuned!

Would you like transfers?
You have sent edits for Bernard and Aline Morrison, and others, I think. Please let me know if you would like to have them transferred to you. The photos you have added are a nice touch. :)

RE: Congressman Abraham Maus Schermerhorn
I deleted the illustration from the Wikipedia pages for Abraham S. Schermerhorn and the 28th Congressional District, too.

I couldn't delete it from Wikimedia Commons, but I did change the description to indicate the correct identity of the subject.

RE: Congressman Abraham Maus Schermerhorn
You're right.

I don't know whether I looked at the wrong page or what, but the picture in question is clearly Jacob Maus Schermerhorn.

I'll delete it from the Abraham Maus Schermerhorn page and see if I can find one of him to add to his memorial page.

I notice you have added some nice Schermerhorn pictures. Are they your family members?

Thank you for the edit information about the above person at Fairmount Cemetery here in Cape Girardeau. If you would like this transferred to you, I would be glad to do that. The reason I put her memorial page on was my self appointed mission to photograph every grave at Fairmount last year. It was finished last fall and was quite a task but I love doing this as a volunteer.
Your information in your bio was interesting about buying find a grave. I certainly hope it remains free. I am a member of ancestry and will continue to do that but a lot of people are not. Thanks for all your work. Ruth Smith
