Thanks for all the work.....
.... that you have done on Ethel Gee. Andrew Pedersen is my uncle, so she would be my aunt even tho she passed long before I was born. Ethel know a lot of heart ache in her short life. I was hoping I had a photo of Andrew and Ethel, but so far I haven't found one. I will keep looking.

Max Alexander Bryan
Hi, my husband is Max's cousin through his "Hansen" line. But, since you seem to have most of the Memorials of that family, I am going to transfer Max's Memorial to you. Thanks, Rose.

Samuel Burwell photo
The information you have on Samuel Burwell is correct but the photo you show as his headstone is that of Henry Innis.

I believe Samuel and Nancy are buried at Riverside Cemetery. Might want to double check.

Would you like to have Joseph & Laura Ferguson as well? I'm simply taking the photos to upgrade the cemeteries in Stafford County. Not related to anyone as far as I know. Ray

Jacky Worley
Louis Buchholz tombstone
Kitty, Found the site with this family stone-the pastor believes Louis is here but am getting in touch with someone that has been in the area longer to see if there is any more info. Caroline and Fredrich and an August Spohr are buried within the B stone square along with the family stone but no specific stone for Louis. Will keep in touch when I know more. Jacky

RE: Joseph Lofland
Hi Kitty,

You're quite welcome. I think there are two Joseph Lofland's buried in this cemetery, though, so I left the pictures up for "J. L." There is another Joseph Lofland, possibly the father of J. L., who served in the War of 1812.

I just found this information in the History of Guernsey County referring to the elder Lofland:

"The soldiers buried in the old graveyard, as near as we can now remem-
ber, are : Of the Revolutionary war, Capt. Thomas Cook, Capt. James Jack,
Thomas Lawrence, John Linn, Robert Moffett, Christopher Donover, Sr.,
and Robert Chambers; of the war of 1812, Maj. James Dunlap, Capt. James
Harding, Capt. Cyrus P. Beatty, Lieut. Wyatt Hutchison, Lieut. David Burt,
Privates John Hutchison, James Turner, Andrew McConehay, Andrew Mar-
shall, James Kelley, Joseph Lofland, William Talbott, Rodney Talbott, Peter
Stears, Peter Torode, John Bollen, John McKee, James Thomas and Christo-
pher Donover, Jr., and of the Mexican war-, John Clark.

Joseph Lofland was a soldier in the regiment of Col. Jonathan Meigs and
was with the army of the Northwest when it was surrendered to the British at
Detroit by Gen. Joseph Hull.

Sorry for the confusion.

Thank you, Kitty! I see my uncle was a Mason but his wife is not with him; however, it appears the marker was meant for two when she buried him. I am most grateful that you found him :)

Mary Peasland Bryan
Hi Kitty,

Thanks for your efforts to put info about Mary Peasland Bryan and her family on this site. I'm a decendent of John Bryan, (my great grand father), Beama Bryan (my grandmother), John Vernon Combs (my father). I'm Kevin Combs.

John Bryan and his wife Emma moved to Hershey Nebraska from Springville UT around 1910. My grandmother (Beama) was their youngest daughter. She married Arch Combs (my grandfather). After a few years John and Emma moved back to Utah leaving Beama and Arch in Hershey. Beama and Arch had 4 children and lived the rest of their lives in the area.

My father (John Vernon Combs) and mother (Vera Combs) are still living in North Platte Nebraska at the age of 85.

I live in Denver Colorado with my wife, Cindy and our four children.

We have felt very close to Mary Peasland and her son John Bryan. Our third child is named Bryan after John Bryan.

We are active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

We would love to hear from you, your genalogy line back to Mary Peasland.

Thanks again for your efforts to keep this family history alive.

Ann Bleeks Curry
I find neither Ann Bleeks nor Ann Curry in the Plainfield Cemetery... could she be buried somewhere else? or stone to old to read?
This cemetery was 'read' by our Genealogical Society and she isn't listed.

Are you related to the Burgan's? Do you have Arrie May & Wilson Burgan in your family.

RE: Burgan Photos
Hi Kitty,
I didn't notice Mary Harris nearby, so I checked the Walnut Grove burial records, and she is not listed in the cemetery. There are two other Burgans listed... Bernard (1886-1961) and Merle (no dates).

Juliette Hawkins (1839-1917) is listed, buried in a plot under the surname "McCloud", if that makes sense?

I'll be going back to Walnut Grove later this week to fulfill photo requests. Hopefully some of these are also family members?

take care,

RE: Burgan Photos
You're very welcome, I'm glad I could help.

There were two other Burgans (Oren & Mary) buried next to them. I added memorials and photos. If these are family members, also, just let me know if you would like them transferred.

take care,

RE: Bleeks & Tiffany
Glad to help, I took them all while I was there. Take care.

Added by Jennifer on May 18, 2009 10:55 AM

Hi Kitty. I found the Bleek Family except for Katie. Your request says wife of Jay, however, he is buried with a Minnie L. I also found some of the Tiffany Family if they are a branch you are looking into. There was an Olive and her husband Lewis. The stones were in very poor shape so I could not read the dates. The grounds keeper was there and told me they were Mary Tiffany Bleeks family.
