I am happy to transfer your relative to your care. I am sorry I placed his memorial in the wrong cemetery. I was going by what his DC said and he is also on the cemetery census for Fairview Cemetery. Here is his entry there:

HOPPER |E. K. |4:039 |Fairview Cemetery

Thank you for coming forward and showing interest in his memorial.

Sincerely, Vickie

More related through Anson County
Thanks for the message. I expect we have more relationship through Anson County. While I grew up in Concord, my Grandfather Peurifoy came from Georgia. But my mother was a Staton. I am a direct descendant of Cpt. Frederick Staton in Anson County. At one time he owned more than 5,000 acres in the Burnsville area. Much of it was lost when his confederate Veteran grandsons refused to sign the union statement after the civil war. I did a good deal of work in the Oakwood Cemetery and am working on Carolina Memorial Park.
And, I lived in Maryland while going through graduate school. Was in Sykesville.
Robert.

Thank you for the heads up on this memorial. I had the correct information from my husband's genealogy but used conflicting information provided by another contributor instead. Another reason to be very careful in automatically accepting edits without checking. I should have checked! Thank you.

Mary Outlaw Keathley
Tim,

I've added her maiden name (Outlaw) on your "say-so". I had not done so before, as I lacked a primary source which to cite.

Using the census', the name Mary E. Outlaw, along with her YOB & NC as her POB; I believe her parents were Grady & Hester Outlaw of Duplin, NC.

Iona Pearl Craig
Timothy,

I found an application for naturalization on Ancestry for Iona dated July 1953. Her maiden name was Crittenden. She was born in Dauphin Manitoba Canada. The husband and 4 kids listed on the form are the people i remember. She had another daughter named Marnie born 1965/66 after the came to the states and was living on Roseton Ave in Santa fe Springs Calif. It shows she was a nurse. Which I remember my neighbor was.You might already know and have this information. But thought i would share it with you just in case you didn't. Good luck on your search.

RE: Iona Pearl Craig
Sorry Timothy, I do not know Iona's parents names. I was a small child when she and my family were neighbors. My Mom says Iona told her she came from Canada. Her parents came from Vancouver and Winnipeg. I know her husband and kids names. But that is about it. Sorry I could not be of more help.

RE: Can you add a child
Hello, Children can not be added to his/her parent's memorial from the parent's memorial page on Find A Grave. However, parents can be added to the children's memorial. To do that, first log in to Find A Grave, then go to the child's memorial and under the "edit" tab, click the "Relationship" line, then one can type in the father, mother, and/or spouse's Find A Grave memorial number. Click "send". Then the person who established the parent's and/or the spouse's memorial or is caring for the memorial/s will either accept your suggestion/s or deny your suggestion/s. In your request to add Susie Drye to her parents, I have made those suggestions on your behalf today to the creators of Sallie Jane Carpenter Broadway and Columbus H. Broadway. Please check later to Susie Drye's memorial #68508960 to see if the creator/s have added Susie to her parents. Best Wishes, Suzzette G Yandle

You sent:

"Her husband is Julius C. Gaynor"

There is a J.C. Gaynor (1876-1950) # 44241469 buried at Abney Baptist Church. Do you think this is her husband?

Thanks for the update on Sarah's maiden name! I have corrected her memorial and several others associated with her as well (Alex was Richard Alexander Nash). I've also requested links to her children, etc. from other contributors, which have mostly been completed already.

If you re-visit Sarah's memorial, you can see the changes that were made. Please let me know if you have any other corrections/additions. Thanks again :)

RE: Jim Moseley/Mosely
Ok, I spoke with my uncle, Julius Taylor, he remembers everybody, lol. He said your gpa Roy Mosely was the son of Frank Mosely. Frank was married to a Sarah. Roy also had a brother named Perry and Jack and there was an LJ. There was also a younger sister, Sarah.

RE: Jim Moseley/Mosely
Would your great gpa James have been called Joseph? I have Joseph in my tree, the son of James and Sarah Knight Moseley. He would have born around 1879. I can't find any info on his children.
