William Cloud Harry
Hi, Can you please tell me something about William Cloud Harry. He was my great grandfather. I am his daughter, Dorothy's granddaughter. She passed in November 2011. My mother, Nancy, is his granddaughter. Thanks

Memorial #21050812
Children you have stated there are 5. Three are listed. Mary Gertrude Jackson Townsend(1860-1945) is one. Who is the other child?

James C Miller
Hello Genie, I'm wondering why did you make another memorial for James C Miller when I already had one? I could see you might have done that mistakenly, but when you take and claim for your own what was obviously my picture of the grave that I took the time and effort to go down to the cemetery to photograph, edit and make a memorial for, that I'd say is stepping way over the line and very insulting. Did I would have gladly transferred the memorial to you. I would like an explanation please?

May I use your bio on this site on my page for my daughters family tree on her father's side? There is more info in that one page than I have been able to find for them. I am working on the tree for the whole family for Christmas. Thank you for all of your work. Brenda

George Roush
Dear Genie,

Thank you for the beautiful memorial you have created for our ancestor George Roush. I love the bio and the links.

If you have history on Catherine Zerkel, his wife, I would love to share information. My tree on Ancestry is private but you may contact me here.

RE: Henry Owens
Thank you. You might want to fix the Henry Owens link at the top of the bio, too, since it doesn't go anywhere anymore.

Hello just a friendly heads up that you duplicated the memorial Lieut Clifford O Markuson. You should delete one of the memorials. Thank you.

Mary Ann
Doris Grace Cumbus
Doris Cumbus is buried at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies but this cemetery is not located in Beaver County. It is located in Bridgeville, Pa, Allegheny County. Find-A-Grave places this cemetery in Cecil, Pa, Washington, County. They border each other so Cecil is the location her burial should be listed. I took a couple of photographs of her burial location and added it to her memorial page. Best Wishes!

Second wife of George Roush
I did finally find info about "Kitty";
She was married in Gallia Co.,
to YOUR GEORGE....not mine;

RE: George Roush, Weldon Cem., OH
Not questioning the pension, Genie;
I actually thot my George was in
Weldon Cem. all these years;
If anything good came of this, I now
know that my George is buried
somewhere else;

George Roush, Weldon Cem., OH
I am not aware of MY GEORGE having a brother;
Most of your Bio is correct and pertaining to
the brother of Capt. John;

My George was born 19 Aug 1760, Hagerstown, MD,
s/o Nicholas Rausch; George married ca-1783,
Elizabeth Neumann/Newman, d/o Henry, of Washington
Co.,PA; George & Elizabeth spent about 30years
in the area; about 1829, he bought land in Mason Co., and started selling off his land around what is now called Moundsville,WV; within the next few years, he brought his family down the Ohio River to Mason Co., and gave his sons the land;

George was 96years old when he died, 5 Feb 1856;
I've searched, but cannot find the info about a
second marriage...but there was one;

The picture you show is George, the brother of Capt. John....not my George;

You obviously have access to the "Roush Family"
books; please read page.548, of vol-4;
It clarifies some of the erroneous info that had
been entered into the earlier volumes about
"my George" and his descendants;

George Roush, Weldon Cem., OH
Genie; I am sry to throw water on such an extensive bio of George Roush; It is obvious you have spent time collecting this info; BUT, this George Roush
was NOT one of the nine brothers of John Adam;
This George Roush was born in Hagerstown, MD, and in
a later volume of "The Roush Family", is referred to
as "George, the cousin"; he and his family took the
westward route through the northern neck of WV,
Ohio Co. and Brooke Co., then down the Ohio River
to the rich soil of the bottom lands of Mason Co.,
WV; I descend from his son, Abraham, then John,
then John's daughter, Emma Virginia who married
Martin Sayre, in Meigs Co., OH;

RE: Re: James Cain
As far as I know the book is not in the library. I borrowed the book from folks who have family in the cemetery.

RE: apollo memorial cemetery
Hi Genie, Happy Springtime and bah humbug to winter!! Well, to assist you could move the two monuments you have placed in the Apollo Memorial Cemetery and put them in the Apollo Presbyterian Cemetery, so we can close out the Memorial Cemetery. These two places are one and the same. I have contacted the admins to use the Memorial cemetery as an alias name, in the cemetery lookup. This way we can prevent duplication. I am trying to discover which people were removed to Apollo Riverview and which people got paved over---so far I have found 5, but the Jacksons were not among them.

RE: John K Parish
I was researching his great-grandmother, who is in my family line but not directly, and found the information on him online. The story says two planes collided and crashed at Hall Farm, Buxton, Lamas, England, and while there were survivors, Lieut. Parish was one of the ones killed. I found an obituary for his widow who died in 2002 with a daughter surviving. Thank you for this memorial.

James Jackson
I bet somewhere there has to be a record re removal of bodies - I can't imagine a cemetery being paved over nowadays but perhaps in those days it was done without anyone having to "approve" it. So sad. Anyway, thanks for the photo and info. I suspect the cemetery was just paved over- and only the stones were moved or the Apollo Cemetery would have records for reburial. I belive James Jackson and Sarah Jane Thompson were the parents of Sarah (Sally) Jackson who married James Ross McKinstry and they were the parents of Alexander Samuel McKinstry. Alezander married Harriet Stiveson and their son, James Sylvester McKinstry married my great aunt Mary Clarkson.
