Bob # 46991349
RE: William Wright Old, Jr
Eileen,

I have placed a photo of his marker on his memorial with grave location.

Please change his burial location to Sunset View cemetery in El Cerrito in Contra Costa county. After everyone switches over, I will be asking Find A Grave to delete the Sunset View cemeteries in Albany and Berkeley. They don't exist.

Thanks.

Bob

Here are the parent links for Larry William Murray and a link for his biological
grandfather who died during the Flu Pandemic in 1919 when Larry's father was
still quite young.

I found obituaries for both Alice Hacking's husbands, Ezra Merkley and Wilson
Murray, which I added to their memorials, and several other places.

Thanks for all your help.

Hillside Cemetery - Bucksport, ME
Eileen,
Thank you for the information....I live in Blue Hill but drive through Bucksport to shop in Bangor.
I will try to get there soon to locate the cemetery and stone. That first search was over 2 years ago.. and I was just starting to explore the cemeteries back then. Locating cemeteries in Maine is not easy.

I have just started working on the Lenker branches on my family tree and am curious if you are related. I noticed you had quite a bit of info on his memorial. If you are related have found some info you might be interested in, his daughter Sarah M married George A L Row, she was living with grandparents on the census.

Thanks for clearing all that up, Eileen! (Sorry about getting your name incorrect.)

Gates
We are direct decendants of George Gates. Coming off of his son John Liversedge Gates and wife Sarah Maria Liversedge. I would like to maintain his memorial please. He will still be linked up with Harriet. All of his wives are not listed ,and the bio does not do justice to this incredible pioneer. You have done a incredible job on find a grave! ;)

findagrave John Fisher
P.S. I love how you did the links for all children including stepchildren. Along the same lines, I especially loved it when the siblings also had links on a memorial when there were several mothers and one father. It makes it easier to get to them and understand how they all fit into the family.

Nice work and thank you so much,
Rhonda

findagrave Thomas H. O'Brien
Thank you Eileen for the clarification. I thought you were talking about the younger James Hanley O'Brien and you were talking about Thomas H. O'Brien. I hope some day the mystery is solved of who his parents are etc.

Did I add him on your tree on ancestry? We need to change his father and/or both parents on ancestry. Did Jane actually take care of him or did her mother take care of him and where was it writen. (I have not read their histories lately as I am currently working on another family line). I am confused to where I actually got Thomas H. O'Brien's name etc.

Thanks so much for all the info and clarifications. Now for the next matter that you had also contacted me about. The new info about John Fisher. I added the wonderful rewritten history to findagrave and added that you (Eileen) rewrote the history including new info found by Perry Hacking. I added the source at the end of the bio (on Find A Grave). Did I understand that source correctly?

It's exciting that Perry Hacking figured out those details so they could be written down and clarified.

FINDAGRAVE JANE PEARSON O'BRIEN
Hi again Eileen,

The more I think about your message to me I think you misread my message. I had that the yonger James Hanley O'Brien's parents were her daughter, Jane Hacking and James Hanley O'Brien.I never put that the older Jane Pearson Fisher was the mother.

But since it was confusing I deleted that part so it won't get mistaken again.

findagrave Jane Pearson FIsher
Hi EIleen,

The memorial for Jane Pearson Fisher that I made was not very clear why I even had James Hanley O'Brien on her page. I did not mention anything except his birth and death dates and it has been so long since I did this memorial that I don't remember if I claimed that she raised him. I had that his parents were her daughter, Jane Hacking and James Hanley O'Brien. I have the younger James Hanley O'brien date of birth as 29 Dec 1863 and if that is true then he is the son of James Hanley O'Brien. What date do you have for the younger James Hanley O'Brien (that you claim was born after the James Hanley O'Brien died)?

The other information you sent I did know but assumed you wanted me to add it to her memorial so I did with your name below it.I am currently working on my Taggart family line for my uncle.

Thanks again,
Rhonda

My husband's 2nd great grandfather was George Gates who married Harriet Hacking as well as Elizabeth Webster, my husband's 2nd great grandmother. I looked up George's record on findagrave to verify what I had in our records and clicked on your bio.
The surnames in your husband's family caught my attention. We just returned from a 6 month stay at Millersburg, Dauphin, Pennsylvania. We did some findagrave contributions in our spare time and these names are very common in Dauphin County. I have an acquaintance there by the name of Wilburt who has some genealogy books of the area.

RE: Walter burials
Could you use a copy of an article on Blaine and Nellie's son, Blaine Walter Jr.?

I came across his death announcement while searching local newspaper microfilm and photographed it.

Our local VFW is named in his honor.

Walter burials
I do not see them in the records for the Oak Hill Cemetery, but that does not mean they aren't there.

From experience, I have found burials not listed.

I can give you the death date and location for Blaine Walter Sr. and his wife.

According to the Pennsylvania Death Index, he died 2 Sep 1959 in Millersburg.

His wife Nellie H. Walter appears to have died 27 Feb 1958 in Harrisburg.

I'll see if I can find a copy of their obituaries at the Upper Dauphin Sentinel office.
