When you were photographing Virginia Allen's headstone did you not if anything has been put there to memorialize her son's ashes that were laid to rest there at the same time?

Callohill Minnis Newman
He is my 5th Great Grandfather

He married Julia Anne who was 16 at the time of of their marrage, he was 19. She died of fever.

They lived in a cabin in yard of father-in-law's home (Henry Wilks).
Left Bedford County with first unit of Bedford County, Civil War April 1861. Went AWOL May 1863 probaly to plant crops. Rejoined his unit on his own June 29 near Gettisburg. Was picked up on battlefield July 3 wounded, died Ft. Lookout Maryland Prison Camp 13 months later of diarrhea. My (Betty) Grandaddy was born February 1764 and after he went AWOL never saw his father. Callohill Menis was in Longstreets Domain and Armisteads Brigade which fought under Pickett- so he was in the famous Picketts Charge, Co. B 14th Virginia Reg. Infantry. He was buried at Pt. I don't know what your profession is, but if you knew computerized I ever have a job for you :) I cannot help but to be mesmerized by the intricate work done on some of the old stones around Lynchburg. The people doing the carving back in those days were masters of their art! And, yes indeed, I do realize how fortunate I am to be working for the company that I do...not gonna complain a bit about working 7 days a week as it sure beats the alternative.

My notes have him in Creasy Cemetery, one mile left of Route 728 off Route 43 near Huddleston, Virginia

Is this familiar to you....any help appreciated!!

EJ Clark
Dotson Clark Cemetery
Hi Stephanie:
I am a descendant of the Clarks buried in this cemetery. I have visited this past fall and have added several pictures. What I have noticed that on this Find a grave web site that there are 2 cemetery's with the same name "Dotson Clark Cemetery" and "Dotson-Clark Cemetery". I believe they should be combined to eliminate confusion. I'm not sure how to make that happen..
Let me know your thoughts.
Ed Clark

By the way there is another cemetery located about 2 miles up the road on the side of the mountain toward Rocky Gap that is known by the locals as "Nelson Clark Cemetery". My grandfather and his parents are buried there. I have never been there, but I understand there are no markers only rocks to mark the graves.

I just wanted to say that I have posted the obit that you sent to me regarding Julian Dunn. I'm sorry that it has taken me so long but I was having computer issues.
I was wondering if you wouldn't mind if I used the obit on my family tree page for Julian?
Have a wonderful holiday season and merry Christmas...
