|Leslie||RE: Charlotte R. Sherwood|
I will check with the City and into the death date that's on the headstone. Maybe the headstone was made with the wrong date on it - oops!

|Leslie||Charlotte R. Sherwood|
I'm not sure the headstone pictured goes with this entry of Charlotte R. Sherwood (my great-grandmother.) She passed away in January 1940 (not 1944) as stated at the top of the entry, and I also have a copy of her funeral services that are dated January 1940. Maybe the picture can be verified or redacted?
Thanks for all you do!

Thank you for the name. We will add him to our list. It is not required they be on Find A Grave, just served in the military, peace or war time.
Again, please let others know of this project. The more people that know about it, the more complete our list will be.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

|mel||RE: Rebecca Hallmark Hogan|
Yes, Linda. This is Rebecca Hallmark, the second wife of Marcus Lafayette Hogan. She is buried next to her son, Marcus Lafayette Hogan Jr. (aka Mark L.). Her husband is buried at Tidwell Cemetery near his parents.
Her memorial was transferred to me with the maiden name 'Thomas.' However, all of my records also indicate her maiden name was Hallmark. I have looked again and can find no other reference to 'Thomas.' So, I have changed the memorial to reflect that.
Would you like me to transfer her to you? (I am distantly related to her husband.) If not, I'll link her memorial to her parents' memorials that you manage.

Toiling away at my family tree research, and I am hoping...that you may know the above person, and that he might have married your mother?

If so, could you please contact me by way of heaters_siren(at)yahoo(dot)com
Then again, perhaps it's too much of a longshot, but I have recently seen documents stating that a Linda Richardson was her daughter, and Administratix (or a term to that effect) Executrix? ~smile~

Thx. but not to worry as I have known that the alpha index sometimes does not work. Have had it happen to me. But we get it fixed by letting each other know, and taking care of it. If this is your relative then send me a SAC with the relatinship. I will transfer.

You made a request for Fred. I fullfilled, and when added and checked it out seen he was already entered with photo. I deleted the photo on the memorial you requested and placed it on the earlier one. I did not have his middle name but did have the d. so you can see it under Fred D. Thayer. Also have sent an edit to the person that duplicated asking that it be deleted, and after doing so since it appears they are related send me a SAC for transfer. Just wanted you to know what happened to the photo req.

|Michael Hofmann||Re: More Kain's located|
I was at Lanham Ridge Cemetery in Brown Co. last week and discovered another family of Kain's (William & Amanda). That name is not too common around here and I got to wondering if these may be related to those you recently posted. Lanam Ridge is only 15 miles south of East Hill.
Hope everything is going great for you.

|Michael Hofmann||RE: Kains & McNeely's Photos|
The Kains were not buried close together. When I found the first marker,I searched that area carefully thinking perhaps the other marker would be close by. While looking for another request I found the second Kain marker at the other end of the cemetery.

|Michael Hofmann||Re: Lester & Florence Fleener|
Made it to Carmel today and found Lester & Florence's marker.
Also found three of their four children buried in the row in front of them. Very sad to think their deaths all preceded their parents. We lost our youngest daughter in 2007. I cannot begin to imagine how Lester & Florence delt with such a tragedy.
