|Rose Duhaime||Photos of Murphy and Mellott 1930s|
Hi, I am going through all the photos I've inherited from my Wheaton Kansas relatives and I have a family photo taken 1937 as well as a photo of Rosalia Murphy Mellott 1937 that I found in my mom's scrapbook. For some reason I cannot log into findagrave but my email is email@example.com I think my mom went to school with Rosalia and her siblings.

Thank you, Suzanne. I really appreciate you making the additions and links to Mary's memorial. I feel like their family is complete now. The transfer was a pleasant surprise. I never expected you to do that. I am very honored to maintain her memorial. Thank you again. Jane H.

I'm not related to them, I just happened to take the pictures while I was there. There are a lot of railroad workers buried in that area far from their homes and families. One man's stone just says "Italian Railroad Worker". Even though I don't know them, I really appreciate you taking the time to research and connect them with their children. To me, that's what the Find A Grave community is all about.

I'm not related, just live in Moorcroft. I'd be happy to transfer the memorial to you if you'd like.

I just noticed today that you were family. You just leave it the way it is, it's fine...if that's how your family spelled it. I apologize if I seemed "bossy". Grandpa has it spelled Cassius on everything we have and my grandfather was named after him.
You have done sooo much work cataloguing and writing about the family. Very appreciative of your time and effort. If you are ever in the area (around Deer Trail) I would love to meet for coffee or something.
Again, please don't change your memorial...I didnt realize you were family when I sent that message.

I've added the links that you requested and Cora's maiden name. Please note that your request referred to her as "Edith Cora," but the headstone reads "Cora E." I also linked her to her son, who is buried in the same cemetery.
Cora's husband was an important member of Las Vegas during it's early days, owning one of the first successful businesses on Fremont Street.

I have made sure the entire H and HAA sections are listed on Find-A-Grave, as well as the J section right next to it. There were no other listings for Mellott that I have found. The information that I have posted is from the mortuary records. It simply states the plot, name and burial date. The headstone is also missing, so I unfortunately have no further information for this person. Perhaps you can call the mortuary and have them pull the original contract to see if they have a better name? I will try to snoop around and get further information if I can and will let you know if I do.

Suzanne - info that I have received from other Mellott family members regard Ida Wink; was that her mother - Elizabeth 'Eamthal' (Truax) Wink/.VAN DER Vinckelink was associated with the Delaware Indian Tribe.
Note - on her tombstomb IDA is actually IDEA

No Ma'am, no relation other than just trying to restore the "Colors" to as many of the original 43rd Ill Inf as I can. They were the main Occupying Force in Little Rock and their Flag was kept in the Arkansas Collection, whereas most ILL Regimental Flags were destroyed in the Chicago Fire! If you are on Ancestry...please add their Flag to his Profile!? Thanks, JVP, TX

Thank you so much for your efforts. And thank you for documenting the cemetery. It is people like you who make looking for our long lost relatives so much easier. May God bless you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
