Randolph Stilson
Jane, Wife of J.F. Randolph
Was there any indication that J.F. Randolph (1759-1847-Jonathan Fitz Randolph purportedly born in Leesburg, Loudoun Co., Virginia) is also buried in Bath Center Cemetery? I believe that he and Jane are the parents of William Randolph (b 1892 Leesburg, Loudoun Co., Virginia, d. 1859, Summit Co., Ohio) who is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Akron, Ohio along with wife Rachael (Johnston) and many of their children.

The grandchildren (children of William and Rachael) include Henry T. Randolph (died 1870) and his wife Elizabeth (Boyd - daughter of William Boyd and wife Jane of Bath Township) and Henry and Elizabeth's two year old son.

Another grandson, John (or Jonathan) Randolph died in 1866 in a powder mill accident after returning healthy and alive from the Civil War.

William's older brother (son of J. F. Randolph and Jane) Jonas Fitz Randolph also lived for a time in Bath Township and his wife and some of his children also are buried in Summit County including Resin Randolph a local Postmaster in Bath Township.

I have the family substantially traced from the birth of Jonathan and Jane's children to their sojoun first in Columbiana County, Ohio, then Chippewa Township, Wayne County, Ohio to their deaths in Summit County but don't have J.F. Randolph's final resting place for sure or where the Fitz Randolphs came from prior to their sojourn in Loudoun County, Va.

If there is any evidence that J.F. Randolph was buried near his wife I would appreciate knowing.

Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

Sincerely,

Randolph Stilson

RE: thanks
Thank you so so much for doing them so promptly. I recently finished photographing Sec. C, and when I got to the Allens I started researching so they could all be connected ('cus there are a ton of them in that lot and they can be a little confusing). I have the two early burial books which help immensely.

I may be connected to the other haddads that you have shown but until I verify a relationship I won't know for sure. I appreciate all you do for me and the genealogical community.

No - that is perfect - I am so sorry that I sent a wrong link. I think what happened is I had you link the correct daughter (also a Lucy Tibbals) and then later saw the grandchild and was thinking it was the daughter and thought I forgot to send you the link. It's that old age thing creeping up on me - ha ha.

Thanks again,

Zella

Pamela,

Eeeek! I must have sent you this link in error - this was Huron's granddaughter, not daughter.

Sorry,

I was glad to give you some information. He is descended from my gr-gr-grandfathers half sister. I recently found a 3rd great grandson of her and was working on the trees and found the memorial. I may find some more info if you have memorials for other folks.

Thanks,
Kim

Dear Pamela,

I want to start by saying Thank You on behalf Genealogists everywhere for your contributions to the Find-A-Grave website.
I found the listing for my husband's 2nd Great Grandmother virtual Grave created by you.
I was wondering if maybe you could transfer the 'Grave" to me, Unless of course it it a family member of your own.
In which case I would love to know how you might be related to Mary Jane.
Please feel free to contact me about this or if you have any questions

This is the information of the Virtual Grave:

RE: Caroline Nees
Links to 2 of the sources I mentioned:

Marriage Certificate:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XDWL-CWR

Daughter Maud Evelyn Zurma's Death Certificate:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/X6Y3-WZW

Her death certificate lists her father as Adam Shriver, though it was likely John Shriver whom she was living with in 1850.

On Forrest's death certificate, the name is listed as Shriber, not Shribek. However, on Familysearch.org, it was transcribed as Shribek, because the "r" blends in with the bottom of the "p" from the word "Sep" on the line above, so it is listed in the index as Shribek, causing some family researchers to list it incorrectly. The death certificate for Albin Forrest Nees can be found here:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1951-21277-88511-51?cc=1307272
