Leo Burmeister - 2 memorials
I was going through some records for the Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander, and it looks like you've created 2 memorials for Leo Burmeister - 82741360 & 51297360. Thanks so much for all your work there!

Unknown information for WALAS. First name Frank. Born Galica Austria October 03, 1878. Died March 25, 1918. Burial Calvary Cemetery March 27, 1918.

His wife, Frances Szczech Walas KOSTKA born February 12, 1882? and died April 19, 1967 is also buried in Calvary Cemetery with her 2nd husband John Joseph KOSTKA born June 19, 1880 and died June 29, 1961.

I did not see a burial listing of KOSTKA names for the cemetery? Also looking for burial listing for KUSH/KUSCH/KUS known to be buried in this cemetery. Can you assist me in locating their burial headstones? Thanks--Georgiann Kostka, Covina CA

Dexter Stefonek
I had to recreate the memorials of Dexter's parents since they were deleted I think, so I went to Dexter's memorial and suggested linking him to the memorials of his parents, the ones I made. Just thought I'd let you know.

A Relative
Thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness and kindness in not only photographing, but also posting stone photos. It's a tremendous happy find for me to stumble across my great-aunt's marker. It means the world to me to actually see her grave.

Memorial #82742714
You photographed a gravestone in Forest Home Cemetery, Rhinelander, that simply says "Baby Lindner". If the stone was near the gravestone for Harriet Lindner, it would be my guess that s/he was a sibling. Harriet was the first child of Archie and Alma Lindner. They lost a second child (another daughter) less than a year later (stillborn: Apr.13, 1928).

Grave numbers
When I give you the parents' name I only know their names not their memorial numbers; that way the parents are listed so their family members know who the next generation back is. Many were born and died in Europe, but at least they can begin their search.
I hope this clarifies my intentions.

Thank you for posting the gravestone photos for this couple.

I would like to ask for your permission to use those photos (and others you may have taken of gravestones of my ancestors) in my family tree on Because the photographer has a copyright for each photo, I always ask before using a photo on another web site. I will, of course, put your name as the photographer and the web sites of the memorials as the source.

Thank you for considering my request,

Rhoda Mason
Thanks Tami- I checked and the informant was not a family member- and her age was 49 which is in the correct range. I live in Rhinelander I am going to see if I can see the death certificate at the courthouse. I am sure that this is Rhoda Barnard Mason. This is my cousins mother's family and I am doing this as a favor. Thanks for getting back to me Karen Gould Norman

Rhoda Mason
Hi you created the memorial for Rhoda Mason Died 5 Feb 1891 Rhinelander-You do not have a birth date but claim she was born in Rhinelander- if you do not know when how do you know where? My reason I have a Roda-Rhoda Barnard Mason born in 1840 New York widow of Rufus Mason- Her son John H Mason was in Rhinelander married here and also lived in Sugar Camp. So if you could clarify?? I believe [her other 2 kids were dead] that she came to Rhinelander to live with her son John H Mason and died here- but I have been stymied because you did put born in Rhinelander.

RE: Calvary
Thanks Tami, for all your help. I think I'm finally finished going through all of Calvary.

I subscribe to When I do a search on someone, in addition to census records, etc., they have a category called "original obituary records". I am finding more and more people listed there if they passed away after about 2005 or so -- the later the better. I find a lot of obits that were published in The Northwestern, Oshkosh, WI and from Leikness Funeral home in Wautoma, WI

The bad thing is that the obituary is listed as one huge paragraph. What I do is copy and paste and then add paragraphs. I'm a retired teacher -- I can't help myself. :)
