|EGF||Mabel (Turner) McAllister Aday|
Thank you for the edit. It was helpful in providing tips for additional research. I have now created Find A Grave memorial pages for Winfield Scott ("Scot") Aday, Mabel's second husband, and Lillian (Steele) Aday, Scot's first wife. I also added a photo of Mabel's crypt marker, and posted obituary transcripts for Scot, Lillian and Mabel.
Scot and Lillian Aday are buried in Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland. I'll get grave photos the next time I do Find A Grave photography at Lincoln.
One question: Is there a record (and Find A Grave page) for George Washington Aday, Scot's father? His death certificate indicates he was buried in Hutchinson, Texas, but doesn't name the cemetery. If possible, a Find A Grave page should be created for him with links added to his wife, Mary Catherine Jordan, and son, Scot.
Thanks again for the edit request. It is much appreciated.

Thanks to you,I was able to locate my grandmother and her infant's grave. They are in Hill
cemetery in Roulette, PA. Interestingly the cemetery records showed the graves were purchased by my grandfather, Charles Richard Roorbach, in 1916; but have never been used. I was trying to verify that he too is also buried there. The man I spoke with had records saying there were 5 graves purchased and paid in full but no record of any buriels there. There is no name on the stone other than Roorbach but in find a grave you have her name as Florence W. Roorbach, and I was wondering where you were able to obtain this information. Obviously, there are records somewhere showing who is buried there. Thank you so much for your original work and for posting on Find A Grave. Susan (Roorbach) Ross. susanlrg.2012@Yahoo.com

William- While researching a relative of mine, I came across info on death of S. Rees in 1850 on the California Trail. My relative was H.B. Sheriff, who also passed on the trail of cholera.
Please reply- I haven't figured out how to edit and would rather you fill in the info anyway, since I'm not related.

Laura Rumsey: I am working on your Photo Request.
I will be seeing the owner of East Hill Cemetery to see if she is listed. Are you sure she is in East Hill in Osseo, Mich? There is 3 more Cemeteries near Pittsford, MI. I see the undertaker was from Pittsford at that time. Thank you!

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our soldiers/sailors that had any ties to Vt. I am asking if I may use the photo of his stone that you posted on Find A Grave, to post on Vermont's Civil war site?( www.vermontcivilwar.org) You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

|Deborah Chateauvert||Correction Needed|
I noticed that Asa Clark Knight #77795536 is listed on the Findagrave site as the spouse of Lydia Clark Gile Knight #95081643. He is her son.
Asa Clark Knight’s first wife was #82244602 Lydia Arvilla Gile and they married 1 May 1875. I have supporting document if you need them.
I was hoping you could make the correction.

|Michael Knight||RE: ethel knight|
Thanx for your reply. The Ethel R Knight in St.Marys is not the one I'm seeking.
"Our" Ethel R. Knight was born in Great Britain as Ethel Rosalind Watson, in 1869 and died in Rhode Island in 1937. She came to the U.S. in 1926 with 2 of her sons...Vernon (my uncle, and Joseph (my father). She was married to Paul R. Knight, who disappeared somewhere in Europe, and was never heard from again.

Hi William.....I'm also a "Knight", but doubt if we are related.
You show a listing from the Manchester Cemetery for an Ethel R Knight. My grandmother was an Ethel R Knight. Do you know much about her? Her middle name, perhaps where she was born?
My grandmother was supposedly buried in a cemetery in the same general area, but, so far, I have not located anything specific.
I am not in Rhode Island, so going to look at headstones isn't possible.
Thanx for any light you may shed on this

|Susan Hill||Dan (Don) Aday|
I have claimed your photo request for Dan Aday. Our city cemetery is enormous in size but there two data bases for the cemetery - one for Cemetery Records and the other for Burial Markers. I rely heavily on both data bases. I find Dan Aday as being buried in Maple Hill, but his location of burial is unknown. So I went a bit further and looked for anyone with the surname Aday hoping that I would find other relatives and possibly find Dan. I didn't find anything concrete, so my next path was to look in our city new paper obits. I find Don Aday with an obituary in the Huntsville Weekly Democrat,
Dated Wednesday, July 7, 1897, Page: 3, Column: 3.
I can not help to wonder if Dan/Don are the same persons as the date of the obit and the Find A Grave recorded DOD are very close.
I'll wait to hear from you on the above matter before canceling the photo request.

|DAHaskins||Anna M. Knight|
Dear Charlie Knight:
I am Anna's great granddaughter. A couple of interesting things. Anna's daughters Anna and Mildred are buried in the plot with Charlie and Anna. Also Charlie and Anna must have married sometime after 1920. Anna's youngest child was born in 1917. And I have the 1920 census record which has Anna still listed as married to John Durrigan (my great grandfather). We also have Anna's diaries which she talks about dating Charlie in around 1925. Charlie died about 6 months after Anna and was visiting Anna's oldest daughter, Elizabeth (for the weekend), when she found him dead in bed. Charlie still shared an apartment in Westerly with Anna's son, at the time of his death.
