I correct myself, he is my great, great, great grandfather. Not much to share, but I did visit his son Charles' grave this weekend. He is buried in Mt. Vernon Washington. That is where they settled when Charles headed west.
I don't have any info on our side about your family, thought I might. Sorry. :(

I posted these memorials from a list I got from the Lexington Historical Society.
I have no other information.

The picture was cropped from a larger one so is not real clear but my reading on it appears to be 73y 6m 7d. It's 'close' anyway, and, at least you know where he is now!

|Linda Hall||RE: Shaver Cemetery|
I do have several pictures but I don't have all of them identified. I also have several pictures of the cemetery if you have someone you are looking for. Just let me know I'll check my file.
Most of the last pictures I posted are from a book a cousin put together for the family. We all sent her pictures of those ancestors we had and she compiled them along with family information.
Which Shaver are you related to? Mine is Kermit Shaver (dad).

I am looking at the book and wife Lydia is listed twice I think you should request a photo for Hannah at J-0014 and Lydia at J 0013 and Oscar at J 0014. this may solve the problem with the book. Oscar lists both wives.

|Linda Hall||RE: Shaver Cemetery|
You are welcome. I have been to the Jacob Shaver Cemetery many times since several generations of my family are buried there, including my parents. In 2005 I tried to take pictures of every stone. Some have been added since that I have taken recently. It's a family cemetery so most of those buried there are related. It was my way of taking them home with me so I could sort them out. lol.
I just joined finagrave.com so I have only answered those requests I saw listed for the cemetery. Haven't tried to post any not requested yet.
I am searching for the grave of my gggrandmother Nancy Ellen Stump Ball b. 1833. She was on the 1910 census in Braxton Co but can find nothing after that. No death record found. If you have any info on this person, it would be greatly appreciated. I need her for my DAR application. Thanks, Linda

|Michael Shaffer||Merging or deleting duplicate memorials|
In regards to your message concerning the merging or deleting some of the duplicated memorials, I have deleted the two memorials that I created. This problem could be avoided if people would just do a simple search to see if a memorial has already been created before creating another. I don't know of anyone who would not transfer ownership of a memorial to someone else if they were to ask. I won't mention the other person's name, but he does this quite often as do a few others.

I have a cousin that is researching for a book, trying to assist..trying to determine WHEN John and Fannie Arrowood lived in the Jack's Creek area of Yancey Co. NC. Have you had any luck searching for documentation on this? Any light would be most appreciated..keep running into a wall. John A Arrowood living there in late 1800's with wife Sally Howard/ Both buried in Tommie McCourry..any idea whose son he is??
THANKS SO MUCH, MJ

Without any grave location I or anyone else could not find a monument in this cemetery of over several thousand graves. send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, I have a listing of many Hannah Gardners in Rhode Island which I cannot copy to this box.

|RRiggan||Lucinda Duncan Parker|
#68077425, Hi, I came across some info on ancestry and I am wondering if your tin type photo you placed on her is actually of my ggg-grandmother: The photo on the tin type says Lucinda Duncan and my ggggrandmother is Lucinda Parker at death. Anyway there is a Lucinda Duncan mentioned on ancestry same basic age same basic dod etc. Mentioned on the Oregon Trail and there is a plaque for her. Let me know what you think.

|Joey Alexander||I have a question|
I only have a few friends on here and have you listed as one of them. I took some pictures for someone and not sure if it was you. I was asked to take pictures of anyone with a certain last name and I can't remember the name. I seen you were/are a Booton and have some Bootons and Bradshaws but I haven't transfered them to anyone. I have no relations to either name so I am not sure why I added them other than to transfer. It is no problem, I just was trying to figure this out.
Added by Joey Alexander on Apr 29, 2014 6:12 PM
YES YOU ARE CORRECT TRANSFER?

|Judy Lunsford-Schmidt||RE: Arrowood|
I thank you for the info re: Arrowood. My dad was not quite sure whethr it was Native American or not. I believe it is not based on some of the history I have found.
Peggy is my cousin on my dad's side. Their mothers were sisters.
I noticed your logo - Chgo Cubs. Are you from the Chicago area? I moved to Bristol, TN from Chicago 5 years ago and I miss it tremendously.

Johnny is buried beside Albert and Beverly so he must tie to them somehow. Glad I could help. I love doing it.
Added by Paul Rolfe on Apr 20, 2014 12:08 AM
I transferred all of them and added one Booten. It is the only one in the cemeteries and I thought it might be misspelled or a variation on your Booton family. The person is in Walnut Hill #128170586. These should keep you busy for a while - enjoy.

Do you know whether Fannie's maiden name was spelled Arrowood or Arrwood? This is my Great Great Grandmother on my dad's mother's side.

I only found one recent grave in Scotch Ridge. It is at the east end of the new section, on north side of main road. It is not marked, does have the slab and two American flags on either side of it. Did take a photo of it if this is who you are looking for. Will keep in file if you want to look at it in an email first.

You asked where you might find an obituary for Linda Sue Everhart. I would suggest you try the Reno County Genealogical Society at: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ksrcgs/index.htm
