Glad that I could have been of some help in doing the pictures but the memorial belongs to a Arthur Ridley, Therefore, I can't do the transferring. Any questions please drop me a line.

RE: Esther Olmstead
You are most welcome. I am trying to slowly get all of the records for the Hillcrest Cemetery up to date, and have started cross referencing the graves with the local newspapers to complete the history of people who lived in Southern Oregon. So glad the information could also help you with your family records.

Eli/Sarah Henderson
you're welcome. In the same plot are Wm. C. Henderson, I assume a son, and also Dewey R. Willey and Verna Willey Hunt, his wife. Have no knowledge of the connection. I will enter them on the Maple Grove site.

Emma Gorham

I searched Block C and did not find an Emma Gorham. I did find an Emma Listy, 1921 - 1984, mixed in with some Gorhams. Assuming she is not whom you are looking for, do you have any other information that might help me locate her?

RE: Benjamin and Susanna Middaugh
The last I found Mary and Jacob was in MI in 1920. This is great! Did they die in MI and were buried in LaGrange Co IN or did they go back?

Bear's grand uncle, Leroy Sylvester Middaugh, was born in Lagrange Co IN in 1878. Between his birth and the 1900 census, there were several children born and passed away and John's death was horrific. We also have a transcribed note from his brother, Daniel, thanking everyone for their support of his brother's family during this hard time.

thank you. . . .give me some time to get my stuff straightened out and get back with you. I found TONS of marriage records from IN for Jacob and Mary's children.

RE: Benjamin and Susanna Middaugh
I just went back and looked. Your Jacob Samuel (there is another one who died as an infant in another line) moved to IND (where John Henry and Phoebe moved too) and stayed there til later when they went to MI. I do not have any of his death information and therefore hesitated to start an interment until I had a little more information to confirm.

I can put his interment in, attach it to his parents and then turn it over to you for you to finish if that would make it easier/simpler for you?

RE: Benjamin and Susanna Middaugh
I sincerely apologize for missing your grandfather, Jacob Samuel Middaugh - that would be because everything we've found has been digging around and pulling teeth to locate.

I believe Jacob is in our family file, but I don't know that I have any of his death information.

If Ben and Susannah are a set of your grandparents, that makes you related to my "Bear". His line runs, Benjamin and Susanna; John Henry Middaugh and Phoebe Anna Swoveland Middaugh Hoover; John Daniel DeSilvia Middaugh and Martha Emma Middaugh; Ralph Edward Middaugh Sr and Evelyn Arlene Duncan Middaugh - then my Ralph (I always call him "Bear")

I have spent a lot of my extra time helping Bear find information on his own family and I work full time, so I'm not really interested in transferring Ben and Susannah. You can, if you would like, attach Ben and Susannah to your jacob samuel, simpling by using the "link family members" option on Jacob's interment.

Would love to get a chance to talk to you - though this is quite a public option. if you can email me maybe we can swap info?

I don't believe I'm related to them. I keep an eye out for any in my family line. My mother was a Kauffman and married a relation!!

Thanks so much for trying to take the photo for her memorial marker. I finally found out where she is buried and that was why you could find her. She is buried in Kit Carson CO cemetery. Thanks again for your time. Leslie.

I wish I could help you more but that is all I was able to find out - maybe the Deal or Diehl will pan out into something else. Happy hunting. Barb

RE: William Charles Hamilton
I always hate to tell people that a loved one's grave is unmarked. If it's any consolation, he's buried in a very pretty part of the cemetery with lots of towering cedar trees.

Again, I apologize for the delay.

William Charles Hamilton

I must apologize for the delay in getting in touch with you. After searching for William's grave on two different trips to the cemetery, I located a groundsman this morning and asked him to help me. I'm sorry to report that the groundsman confirmed my belief that William lies in an unmarked grave in Section: South, Blk 1, Gr 2427.

Duplicate Entries
Hi Anita,
I would be happy to transfer the memorials to you if you would delete the duplicate entries you made. I have spent many hours documenting memorials and the best reward I get is when a family member finds them and I can transfer. I hope you understand.
All the best.
