Tigue Moore
Thanks for all of the info. on Tigue posted to this site. My mother , daughter of Elias Richard Moore, Jr., and Tigue were first cousins. Interesting that only 3 of the first cousins are still living -Jennie - from the oldest sibling and my mother and her brother from the youngest sibling. I noted that you are a big genealogist - I am a part time amateur - would love if you have any info. on the descendants of Tigue, Lias and Stephen who all migrated to Louisiana, correct? My mother remembers Steve and Lias staying with her parents when they lived in Miami during the 1930's.

Ware Oglesby, Find A Grave Memorial# 96842810
Hello Larry, Do you know the source of the birth and death dates of Ware Oglesby in Find A Grave Memorial # 96842810? DAR records show him as born in 1768, which would make him age 12 - 13 during the years he is said to have served, 1780 and 1781. Since there is a precise day, month, and year, it doesn't look like it came from a guess, so maybe there's a Bible record or something that gives the dates? Thanks

Katherine Leinweber
Hi Larry, Per your request I've added Katherine Leinweber's middle and maiden names to her memorial. I will gladly transfer her memorial to you if you like, use the transfer tab. I helped with a project to photo all headstones in Garden of Memories and create memorials for those that did not have one on Find a Grave. Think it is great when a relative wants to maintain a memorial I've created. Maggie

John Redus Find A Grave Memorial# 15339860
Greetings Larry,

You posted a picture of John Redus on Find A Grave Memorial# 15339860. John Redus is a 1st Cousin several times removed. I am related through my maternal 3rd Great Grandmother Luvica Redus. I have seen this picture on Ancestry stating that it was found on your family blog, which I enjoy reading very much, but nothing to indicate that you had given permission to use it. I have no problem sharing family photos, but some people are touchy so I always ask permission before I use someone else's material. So, if you have no objection I would like to use this picture in my public tree on Thanks

Seaside Cemetery

I take pics at the cemeteries in
and around Nueces County.

As for Seaside, I will be more than happy
to take photos of graves for you

But they only allow to get three locations
at one time, and since I live across town
I'm asking to call the cemetery and get locations
as I have maps of all the sections, so I can
take more than 3 photos at one time

Seaside Cemetery

Thank you

Record Hunter
You sent the following:
I was wondering if you could confirm the information on this memorial for me. The actual person that somewhat matches the information you have here that is in my family is William H. Mongold who did serve in the 1 Regimeny, SC Rifles (Orr's). He was born on 25 Dec 1834 in TN, and died 19 Jan 1929 in Chattooga, Oconee, SC. His death certificate says he was buried in the Double Springs Church yard in Walhalla. I understand there are two Double Spring churches (Baptist and Methodist). Could you please tell me if you actually spotted this grave at the Baptist church as we always figured he was buried at the Methodist Double Springs. Thanks for any help you may give, Larry Van HornBrasstown NC

Answer: I was working from records in cemetery in this area from the Kennedy Room in Spartanburg Main Library, sorry.

We could only find Almeda Patterson Carter and Ethel Carter next to her (stone front right). There was a unmarked granite marker next to Almeda (stone front left) with flowers, but no name on this marker. I have a picture of it if you are interested. Ask for DSC 0064-0069

If you still have this photo, please post it to the memorial. It is most likely his marker

also please send me a note when you do, as Find A Grave has deleted my photo request and I would not receive a notice.

I transfered to you as I am not a relative. I never received any other message concerning him. Mrs. Short always transfers people to me after I locate their graves and photograph their stones and have dates etc.. When she sets them up she just uses the epitaph information that her friend Nick provided her. She does it to honor him and I maintain them in memory of those who have passed on.

RE: Mary Boyle Van Horn Photo
Not sure if I emailed you or not - but went back to Greenwood and there is no one next to Mary Van Horn and no Faust listed in the cemetery according to the caretaker.

Good luck in your search.

Mary rests in one of my favorite cemeteries, I didn't pay attention to who was asking for the picture, but when I posted it low and behold - I found it was you. We are cousins & have talked by email. I am the great-great-grand-daughter of Julius Schostag. If you ever need any research done in Dallas - let me know. I'm happy to help.

Hundley plot at Metairie Cemetery

My email to you bounced back saying your mailbox was full. I took photos of the Hundley plot, but there are no individual markers. I'll contact the cemetery office to see whether or not Mrs. Hundley is buried there.
