I've added her obit, but something isn't right. It's nothing you've done, I just thought it interesting that her birth was in April 1893 and death in Aug 1896 and they said she was only 18 months old? Her stone even says those dates. Someone couldn't figure or there was a typo. She would have been 3 yr and 4 months.
I wonder if ... no, it has to be the same person because of the death date. They just made a mistake I guess.

RE: Wilhelmina Margretha
Edward Nicholas Ludwig and Mary Ellen Abultz Schuetz are her parents and ALbert was her brother. Her parents are buried in St. Johns in Falls City. I have pictures of them and their headstone, just never uploaded.

RE: Orion W. Welsh
Hi Keith, Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I went back through my research and I think you are correct that he was born in Nebraska. I have not found a listing for him in the 1940 US Census. I have 1910, 1920, and 1930.They show him born in Neb in all three. The 1930 Census lists last name as Welch, but it should be Welsh.
What threw me off is his Illinois death index. I lists his birth in Greely Co, Iowa. But everything else looks correct on it. As I'm sure you know, there are sometimes obvious mistakes in records.
I have not found any information of a wife Osiela, or daughter Dorothy. (not yet anyway) His wife Bertha I (Osey) is listed in the 1920 and 1930 US Census as wife of Orion. I have found Bertha again in 1940 US Census as head of household along with the children, but no listing for Orion. He would have still been alive, but must not have been in the home. Her maiden name "Osey" is listed on Orion's birth certificate. I did not submit a edit for it.
Orion is a brother-in-law of my paternal grandfather but not in my bloodline. Jessie Welsh was my grandfather's second wife. She raised my dad until she was killed in a car/train collision.
I am following the Welsh family in my family tree, but don't have all the details by any means.
Thanks for your memorials! Dan

Keith can you double check the information you sent me on her. I am not seeing the connection. I just want to make sure that we are adding an accurate account of the events.

Thanks Deb

Don't ever worry about sending me an edit. I photographed that entire cemetery. I got really confussed when it came to adding the memorials. So many family names reused through out the generations. A second set of eyes is always appreciated.

Hope you have a great day.

Keith I am really sorry. Not sure how I duplicated your memorial, but I have deleted it. I also transferred the picture of the headstone to your memorial, and linked the kids to their parents.

If there is anything else I can do for you let me know.... Thanks Deb

L. Burnett
Theo Taylor's child
Thanks for the update. I have placed the news on Theodore Taylor's memorial page. I do have online access to some Kansas Newspapers but the one in Brown County isn't one of them. I'll have to look at my list of Taylor's buried in White Cloud, Kansas to see if I can find this child.

Carothers Family

Do you happen to know if the Carothers family is still in Brown County? And if so, how I might get ahold of them... many thanks.

Jeff :)
