I have no issue deleting duplicates. It does not matter if you are a "family member," since the newer is always the dupe, regardless, and since I use spreadsheets, there's no cause to take it personally, as you apparently have. Also, my dates are often burial dates, which will tend to cause dupes if there are removals, in particular. I'd prefer you no longer write me, and address your issues to admins in the future. This is my recreation and I don't do it to receive snotty emails from "family members" of people who died 120 years ago.

|Wendy M.||RE: Homeyer Memorials|
Thanks for getting back so quickly. I have just copied your headstone photos with credit to you and attached them to the memorials for William and Sophia Homeyer.
You may now delete these duplicates #90155505 (William) and #90155587 (Sophia). I will then transfer my original ones to the particular Homeyer descendant.
Thanks for all your help in this matter.
Have a blessed day.

|Wendy M.||RE: Homeyer Memorials|
Thanks so much for your prompt reply. I can certainly understand why some memorials are duplicated. I, myself, have been guilty of mistakenly duplicating a memorial.
Regarding the two Homeyer memorials, with your permission I would like to copy your photos and then I can attach them to the earlier memorials I made. I would make a notation giving you proper credit for each of the photos. After doing so, I will then transfer these to the Homeyer family descendant.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

The date on the pediment of the mausoleum is correct. According to my sources at the cemetery, the construction of the mausoleum began in 1895. Traditionally the date on the Green-Wood Cemetery mausoleum exteriors is the year the building project was started. There are may possible reasons for the family not moving the remains into the mausoleum until 1896.
I also requested the 3 duplicate memorials be deleted. The had been made using the re-interment date of 1896.

Ralph Blecher in South Paw Paw Cemetery has the last name spelled wrong. There is no t in Blecher. If you wouldn't mind changing it, we would be grateful. Thanks for all of your good work.

|Barbara LeClaire||Agua Mansa vs Mt. View vs. Campo Santo vs. Pioneer|
I have added names to the past and later moved them to the current cemetery. What happens is Colton historical then added them again. I complained and they where removed. Then someone else copied the names off the board in Campo Santo and the names are added again. I now have the idea to add one but put the information at the current cemetery. . Pioneer had about 50 removed to different cemetery's. Some of the stones are still there.. not helpful either.

Thank you Audrey. :) I have had a photo request in for him for about a month or so now and am hopeful someone in the area will be able to photograph his memorial for me. I am a bit further north than you and do not expect to make it there myself any time soon. Fingers crossed that someone will in the near future. I will keep you informed on any progress. I also put in a photo request for his wife, Cordelia. Thanks again for all you do.

|Gary Smith||My email addy|
Hi, Audrey, in looking over my previous messages I see that I used the wrong suffix on my Cal address; it should end in '.edu': email@example.com (Aarrgh!)
--- As for Marcus' date of birth I have this URL to a cousin-researcher's site: http://tinyurl.com/pjlz9rr which reflects what I think I read on his gravestone, and more (2ndary, I know, and looking suspiciously like either 1916 or 1918, the stonecutter having used a simple square font). --- The link includes my same reference to the 1900 US Census, which gave us people's birth month and confirmed year [hallelujah!]. --- Cheers, and avante! |Gary Smith||RE: Marcus Stainbrook|
Hi, Audrey, thank you for thinking of me. I'm not sure which 'other address' it might be; I use only firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com; and, unfortunately, I have a longtime acct with AOL, from which I'm trying to ease-out, while not using it. The 'cal.berkeley ...' address is sent on by Cal to the 'firstname.lastname@example.org' address. For genealogy I prefer to use the 'cal. berkeley...' address, saving the 'comcast.net' for family and non-geneal. stuff. --- Cheers, Gary

|Gary Smith||RE: Marcus Hulings Stainbrook|
Hi, Audrey, thank you for the note. I got Marcus' birthdate from an Ancestry offering, located at this reduced URL: http://tinyurl.com/k74vgkq. As it is connected to a for-profit company, I didn't follow through with money, figuring I'd come across Aunt so-and-so's notarized-memory some time or other (working in my last quarter century as I am.)
Please excuse my unprofessional approach to that particular morsel.
Hoping this note finds you well,
cousin Gary in Berkeley, Marcus' 2nd great grandson
