RE: nancy ann allen parker

Done! Actually, Sue Moriz found a Houston Co Newspaper Article stating both Mrs. Parker (Nancy) was caring for her father John Allen "Uncle Johnny" in Dec 1890...which is almost 1891! John Allen was listed as 86 years old, and the oldest man in the county.
I have no proof either are buried in Parker. To the contrary, the cemetery was "pinged for graves" and NO one was buried or found under John Allen as well as many other "memrial markers" placed at Parker.
I also have a pension application made by N A Parker, widow "disapproved 1899" stating she owned 79 acres and two cows valued at $260 (land) and $15 (cows). Guess they wanted to eat her cows and sell her land!
My question is "what happened to the land?" There are hundreds of records of our Allen family at various counties in East Texas. I just have never been there to get them. I had several sent to me. If you haven't you may ask the County Clerk there in Crocket for any sales of land around that time or intestate records. I've never looked. I'd like to know Josephus Parker's parents names and I would like to know what happened to their children.
I have children as:
Louisa Parker 18481899
John Asbury Parker was John Allen Parker 18491881
Dorothy Parker 1851
Elizabeth "Lizzie" Parker 18531921
Thomas J or TJ Parker 18571928
Mary ? Parker 1859
Benjamin Parker 18651918
If you don't have the above mentioned records, I am happy to email them to you ( And, any assistance is greatly appreciated. Diane Click

Hi there...Gee I have so many questions about your ancestor! As you can see, I requested to manage Nancy's grave, I did not create it. I'm sure they looked for her on a 1900 census and when they didn't find her - wrote 1899. I could only trace a few of her see if she was living with them...not living with Dorothy 1900 - don't know what happen to Mary or your ancestor Benjamin for that matter...I'm happy to change anything for you..anytime. Always always nice to hear from, Diane

Nancy Warren Payne
Turns out, there are TWO listings for Nancy Warren Payne.
50935308 at Old Zion Cemetery, Crockett, TX has all the right info, pictures etc, but not her birth date

27859804 at Grounds Cemetery, Crockett, TX has her birthdate (4 Jan 1912), but no photo, seems to be the wrong cemetery (note saying her headstone can't be found...)

Can you combine them into 1 accurate listing?

Nancy Warren Payne
I noticed that someone left a comment on Nancy (Warren) Payne's FindaGrave record that they photographed every headstone in the Grounds Cemetery of Crockett, TX and found no stone as described in Nancy Payne's FindaGrave. I don't know how I came by it and I haven't visited either cemetery to confirm, but through my account, I show Nancy is buried not in Grounds Cemetery, but in Old Zion Cemetery. I have also gotten a copy of the headstone in question, presumably either from FindaGrave or from The photo I have on my Ancestry does not seem to be associated with the Grounds Cemetery listing for Nancy Warren. Perhaps there are 2 listings? One in the Grounds cemetery (in error?) and on in the old Zion Cemetery? I tried looking Nancy's grave up that way, but came up empty handed "this time"(as if there were a prior time--I don't remember specifically). Anyway, I thought it would be helpful for you to know and can attached the photo I have to an e-mail if you'd like.

In response to your question regarding his unit during WW II... the only information that I have is what is on his stone... CPL 112 Ordnance Co, Texas ....... aside from that, I don't have any other information. Thank you for visiting his memorial. This memorial was transferred to me. Cecile

Al Kreger
Upside down star
I don't know if the star in that placement (Prosise grave) has significant meaning or not. I will ask around and see if I can find any further information.

Concepcion Burciaga @ Forest Park
I see you added a picture request for Concepcion Burciaga @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. If you would call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want. This is a very large (225+) acre cemetery and without a location would be very hard to find.

Thank you,

They are called "crypts" with an engraved paver over the top of vertical pvc tubes for cremated remains. I believe there is "Elizabeth" as well in the same location. Would you like me to check?

I will look for this grave. My wife is a Tippins/Tippens from Paden City, WV and we are wondering how you are related. This Tippens may be from a different line, my wife's father was Robert Albin Tippins (1908 - 1971), his father was John H Tippens (1869 - 1963). All lived in the same area of WV.

Forest Lee Clark
I posted a copy of his death certificate I found on and left a flower for him with the additional information in hopes that it will be added to his memorial. However, the person that did this has not responded to any of my other requests, there I only added the information in the form of a flower that I left. You can get the additional information from that. I will try to go to Woodside and check for this grave when I can, but I don't remember seeing it on my last visit there.
