Chris, sending via SAC two small "adds" to the record that you might find useful ... these are transcribed from the "Earliest Death & Burial Records" (full attribution added in each SAC) for the David and William Comstock memorials (brothers; young children). A in CA

Hi Chris. Sorry, I don't know where the name Vallenga name comes from. It was in the obituary. Best regards.

Are you related to this family? Have notice all of the wonderful info you have posted. John Kuis married my gggrandmother Elizabeth Southland and they lived in Muskegon MI. Am in the process of doing a family history and would love to talk to you if these people are related to you. If not you do a wonderful job of updating other peoples family history.

Thanks for the edits! I never know what to do about those spaces except follow family groups. Wish Find a Grave's sort engine would just ignore them!

Oh, boy, Chris, you could be correct but why do you think that she was born out of wedlock? The informant was "Mrs.". Am I confused?

Hi Chris - Margaret Ann (Richards) Hogmire was an Aunt of my mother, and I just recently found this Find-a-Grave web-site. I'm wondering where the birth information came from? It's my information that she and her twin sister Mary Jane Richards were born in Shelby County, Illinois. Thanks. George J. Nixon, Jr.

I think I will just transfer mine to you. Hope you feel better soon :)

You forwarded an Edit request to link Ardis to her mother, Tressa Griffin. Did Tressa divorce Ernest or did Ernest pass away and she then married Elmer Griffin? Bruce

Thank you very much for the info. I have made the edits. Let me know if she is a relative of yours and I can transfer her to you. No one takes better care of family than family! Thanks! Jill

Yes thank you. I do remember. Thanks for the link to look at the death certificate too. I put a bookmark on the page and have found my gr-grandparents and great uncle aunts and other cousins. Although as in most research it has brought up more questions the more answers I find. I also see how many different ways they misspelled our last names.

Thank you so much for adding information on my Great-Aunt. I have been trying to find where she was buried for nearly 40 years to no avail. Her father, mother, a brother and a sister are buried in the Grandville Cemetery in unmarked graves, it took me about 28 years to find them. May I ask where you got the information? Was it in the cemetery office or listed someplace? Thank you so much.

I think you are the person that I once corresponded with about the Kissel family. I found that quite a few Kissel's are buried in the Mascoutah City Cemetery in Mascoutah, Illinois. I found my great-great grandfather & grandmother there. I thought you might be interested. I also traced the Kissel family for my great-great grandmother to her parents in Germany. I can't remember your family's link to mine, but I would be happy to share this information if interested.

My name is Pat Irwin from New Jersey. My father served on the U.S.S. LST-1022 and I believe that you are the Chris whose grandfather served on that vessel during the Second World War.
If you are indeed this person, I was hoping that you would email me so I may ask you some questions, as my father never really spoke about his time in the service. In fact, it is only since he passed on November 11, 2014 that I've found out more about his time in the Navy than I have in all of my previous 45 years.
If you are not the Chris that I think you may be, I apologize and wish you well. If you are, please send me an email anytime to: pat(at)patirwin(dot)net

Chris, Thanks for your most kind deed in adding Harris's memorial, however someone addeds a better photo of his tombstone would you consider deleting your photo. In case other people would like to add photo's it just takes up a space.
Your kind deed so very much appreciated.
