You might want to check Lawrence Deloss LAFOLLETTE's (1903-1987) grave with his second wife Amy W. (HORN) LAFOLLETTE. I transferred both of them to you and they have now just been photographed.

HE EVEN REMOVED MY REQUEST FROM HIS MESSAGE BOARD FROM DEC. 4TH..I'VE LEFT HIM TWO MORE SO MAYBE HE WILL ANSWER.. I WOULD LOVE TO ADD A BIO TO MY AUNTS MEMORIAL PAGE, SO FAR NO LUCK.. ANYWAY, JUST WONDERING IF YOU HAVE HAD BETTER LUCK THAN I HAVE WITH HIM TRANSFERING YOUR MEMORIALS... TAKE CARE, DEBI

Well not quite though Lawrence because he is not related to any of Grandpa & Grandma's relatives that I know of. His parents were Emmett Edward & Minnie May (GREENWOOD) LAFOLLETTE. They don't have virtual graves on findagrave and I don't know where they are buried. If you do you should add them. The only LAFOLLETTEs that I am directly related to other than Aunt Jessie's infant son would be Charles Petty LAFOLLETTE (1872-1955) of Green Bay Twsp, Clarke Co, Iowa. He married Hattie Leola HARRIS who was a granddaughter of my 4th Great-Grandparents James & Eliza (KNIGHT) HARRIS. If Charles is your direct ancestor you should see my HARRIS virtual cemetery.
One other thing about the LAFOLLETTEs I know . . .those that are along the central part of the Iowa-Missouri state line including Decatur, Clarke, Harrison, and Mercer Counties . . I met a LAFOLLETTE when I was back home in the area and he told me that ALL of the LAFOLLETTEs in the area were related to Sen. Robert "Fighting Bob" Sr. LAFOLLETTE (R-WI) died in 1925 and had earlier been Governor of Wisconsin. He is one of most famous federal senators of all time. Several of his ideas FDR later took credit for. Of course the difference was that FDR was able to pass them but he had some help from Fighting Bob's son Bob Jr. who was appointed to his father's seat when Fighting Bob died. Bob Jr. and his brother Philip who was elected Governor of Wisconsin actually started the Progressive Party and Philip was elected to at least one if not all of his terms as Governor on their ticket. The party didn't last and Philip ended up getting axed by the voters and a Republican in a general election. Bob Jr. switched back to the Republican Party for his 1940 reelection bid and survived a tough primary but then was reelected. (Democrats in Wisconsin were like Republicans in Alabama then . . . they existed on paper, pickups, and the post office.) That really should have been the end of Bob Jr.'s problems but he was well shy and problems with the retail side of campaigning (that people like Reagan, Ted Kennedy, George Wallace excel at). When 1946 he underestimated Joe McCARTHY and didn't put up enough fight until it was too late. Bob Jr later died in 1953 from suicide.

Lawrence is buried beside Amy and probably in Red Oak, Montgomery Co, Iowa where they lived for several yrs. Their son I saw the picture of graduated HS there in the 1950s. Lawrence I think is a 1C to Claude Lafollete died 1926. He was almost Grandpa's uncle. Claude is buried at Freedom. Will try to dig up more later.

William I cannot do that. Jessie is my Grandpa's sister whom he loved very much and actiually had to help bury. Now her husband Lawrence actually was never buried at Bethel. He married 2nd to Amy --- and they had at least one son Grandpa showed me a picture of and I think they actually had three children.

I've added the names to the bio of Jeune Fletcher.
If they have a memorial # - please provide and I'll link the parents to her. In the future - when wanting corrections/links - it is very helpful to include the memorial # on the request for easily accessing.

|Anita (Miller) Brown||RE: Ginevan Cemetery|
Thanks for the info. Until today, I had not been back to the Ginevan Cemetery since Fred Saville passed away in Oct 2008, so I fully recorded & photographed it & recorded the actual mileage to it so others won't have a problem finding it. Glad I went. It's very pretty & peaceful up there.
Are you related to any of the Catlett's or Dunlap's from Gore,Va & Hampshire County areas?
Thanks again & Take Care!

No, I'm not related to the Mosers in SC.
My husbands family was the Mosers who had a large farm in Owings Mills in Balt Co, MD. That farmland was sold and is now the Owings Mills Town Center.
My family came from Warren Co VA.

|Jeff LaFarlett||RE: James Henry LaFarlette|
James Henry was my great-grandfather. Sally was his second wife and he was in his 70's when they married. They did not have any children. All of our family spell LaFarlett without the "E" on the end except for my uncle Vernon. If you want additional info contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org

Thats for teh correction. I must have mde the mistake during the conversion to an excel spreedsheet to upload.
Since she is your relation do you want control over the memorial. It is not a problem for me. I am no longer living anywhere near the cemetery anymore.
