RE: Nell Cutright Clayton and unknown boy
Sorry for he delayed response but I sincerely appreciate your message about my Grandfather and my Great Grandmother. I thought it could possibly be Gerald Sr. but I didn't have any boyhood pictures to compare too. Ms. Nell was a very stunning lady and its ashamed my Grandfather was only 24 when she died.
Thanks again for your input.

Judy,
I am in contact with the person that said there was confusion about Irene and appreciate your input. I put your comments on her memorial and will try to fix it according to all the records we can come up with. I am not a relative and try to do my best.
Am dealing with another memorial that I have gotten information on that is not the same. I am trying my best to fix it. I put the contributor's number on that gives me the information, in case I am questioned on it. I hate to site every reference that I use, but looks like I might have to start doing that. Thanks. Will try to remember to let you know what we come up with. I am willing to transfer any relative to a member. Thanks again for your input.
Maybe this will fix her memorial. All information is appreciated.

RE: Reed Cemetery; Upshur County
I apologize for the delay in replying. I forgot all about your reply. I think it's so cool that you have been there. I live in Norfolk, VA and have never been there. My GGM is Gertrude Samara Reed. Her son Rex S. Ashley was my GF, my mom's father. He married Opal Azalia Henline. She was from Skin Creek, Lewis, WV. They married and he was stationed here in Norfolk. I have only been to WV one time when I was young. We visited my GGM on my mom's mothers side (Henline). She lived to be 101. Her house didn't have any plumbing and she used the double seated outhouse. How I would love to go visit all the family history we have there. I have a very hard time traveling especially through mountains. I heard from my mother that Gertrude had diabetes and had an amputation. Even though I visited WV when I was younger, my mother never took us to see any of the Reed/Ashley property. HOW Lucky you are to be so close to all that family history!!!
I really appreciate your chatting with me. I have an ancestry.com tree. Do you?
So glad I found someone in the family. I look forward to hearing back from you. If you prefer email.....flowerwj@aol.com

Cynthia Teeter monument
Hello,

Just wanted to let you know that it is very difficult to get a good picture of Cynthia's monument, as it is very close to the cemetery fence.

Have a great day!

Nees and Zuma families
Wow J.
What an interesting story. How wonderful to have such talent in the family. Do you have other sculptors by Maude Nees Zuma?
Perhaps you would like to take over the site to add more information.
If not - I would be happy to add anything you have.

Many Blessings and thank you for the update

Pam

Indian Camp Cemetery
Hey J,

I see that you posted a gravestone photo of Samantha (Phillips) Gould's stone at Indian Camp Cemetery in French Creek, WV. She is a 3rd Great-Grand Aunt (by marriage) of mine.

I would be very interested in finding out if there are other Gould stones in the Indian Camp Cemetery, as Find A Grave indicates there are - and getting a photo of them, if possible.

My Gould ancestors in Upshur Co. include Algernon Sidney Gould, Ashley Gould, Rowena Margaret Sexton Gould, Gilbert Gould, Mehitabel (Taylor) Gould, and Nathan Gould. Some of them I know are buried at French Creek Presbyterian (even one who listed at Indian Camp in Find-A-Grave)as I have been there and photographed the stones - and I am following up on the apparent possibility that others are buried at Indian Camp. I didn't know about that cemetery when I visited (from Minnesota).

If you're in the area - your help in looking for Gould Stones at Indian Camp would be greatly appreciated!
