|Bobby Hobson||Slay Cemetery|
Hi Gayle, I am not a descendant of the Slay family, but I am a descendant of Mary Slay's husband William Alexander Dawson and his 2nd wife. I live in this area and I am photographing all of the cemeteries close to my home, and have acquired quite the database of genealogy from my area. Glad that my work is of help to you.

|DeVal Lott||John Clark and Mary J McLendon|
Gayle - you sent me a message about the transfer of management of John Clark and Mary J McLendon's gravesites. Well, they are my great grandparents on my dad's side so I don't really want to transfer control. sorry...
But this also means that we are probably related also. In what way are you related to them?
I will be glad to place whatever info that you want to add to the memorials. Just let me know.

|Janet Jones||RE: Mary (Polly) Baker Hood Grave Photo|
I do apologize for that. I think the system automatically sent that when I uploaded the cemetery photo. I do not live there and am unable to get the photo myself. Please do request it again and hopefully we both can get a copy of the headstone!

|Rebecca Hynum||RE: Thank You|
I took pictures of all the graves at the newer cemetery and will post them sometime today (as well as the older one). There were many graves in the older cemetery that were impossible to read, several of which I traced with my fingers in order to tell who was buried there and some I got, others were impossible to decipher. There was one grave which had a much longer name, placed in the round like a horseshoe and I could not get it from my fingers. However, I thought perhaps when time permitted, I would go back and see if I could take a rubbing. The stones in this cemetery were made of some concrete like material and had deteriorated very badly. Some were concrete covers that had had information scratched in by sticks. We got as much as we could and I told my husband that we needed to go back when we had more time. We'll see if the one grave which could be a possibility is your W B Robertson. There was a very slight raised area. I'll take some water spray as well and see what happens.

|Bob & Bonnie McEver||Clement Transfers Made|
The Clements are buried in different cemeteries that are about a mile apart. Although I was raised in Files Valley, I never learned the reason for establishing the smaller one (Sydney Files).

I have transferred the Rambo memorials to you. Take good care of them. I am not related, but I do feel some connection since I looked around their original burial area and then found them at Oaknoll where they were reburied.

|Douglas Richardson||RE: Slay Connection ?|
Yes. I'm related to the Slays and Sumralls in the County Line Cemetery. Alexander Slay is my 3rd great grand uncle. Thomas L. Sumrall is also a 3rd great grand uncle; his sister, Mary Sumrall, was married to my 3rd great grandfather David Slay (1788-ca 1867).
David and Mary Sumrall Slay are buried in unmarked graves in the Slay Family Cemetery in NW Hinds Co. Here's a link: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2400248&CScn=slay&CScntry=4&CSst=27&CScnty=1536&
